I haven't tested it out live yet but with playback it works nice.
I have the ES and Crude both looking good.
I'll have to try it with a contract to see if it responds different live.

i used to trade Renko
never sticked tho
i consider it a fancy moving average
therefore crude will be better for it than es

i know the guy who is exclusivelly trading it
of course there is more to it ---- as always
but the point is that it works

but i also moved more towards order flow so im no expert

Crude is my primary but I am working on a good resolution to filter noise on SP500.
A few good setups on the SP500 could be 30 points a week or more.
I figure I'll work a profit cushion on Crude then since SP500 has large volume I can put on 3x the size with swing positions.
Its all in the concept phase still but I do know how creative Money Management ideas can make PnL go parabolic.
STACKING!!!!

Ok I've tried it live. Not as advertised or I'm doing something wrong. It does not print one block at a time as it appears. It will print 15 at a time! Not good for what I want.

Renko is not time based, so you won't get one block per candle (in comparison). I think there should be a couple of options to run off ATR or specify your renko brick size in points (pips). I ran renko in the past on daily using TV charts, did not mesh well with me.

Edit: Maybe helpful as a directional bias or to stay in a trade, but for entries like we enter - nah..

1) if your using renko on tradingview, it wont chart properly till you become a member.
2) I strongly believe you need a charting platform that will provide wicks.(which will show the true high and low vs... a floating or invisible real high/low.
3) Price is the same on every time frame, chart type and index.
4) It does show price structure much clear than time based charts, but its what you used to. If time charts are working for ya, do reinvent the wheel.

How you been Paweldobkowski?

I still read your guys trading journals. Cool to see the progression. Keep it up!

Looks like on your chart its set to 1 point, every 30 min update.... should be 1 point tick by tick for building the renko blocks.
