Dynamic SR

Postby chalky600 » Thu Nov 20, 2014 6:12 pm

Hi TRO

Ive a question ret the Dynamic SR indicator, its a really great tool, but I have an idea for a simple improvement (he says not being a programmer) that I think will make it much more effective.

If you look at the attached 5 min chart of the EUR JPY it picked great entries when the par were trending up and down, my problem is that if I have multiple pairs that I want to trade then I get distracted by all of the signals, most of which are against the trend.

So..

If there were an option to detect if the pair were trending and if an uptrend then only buy signals are generated and voce versa for downtrend, then the juicy entries would be much easier to find. I was thinking maybe something like MA1 greater than MA2 for example. I know you don't like squigglys and maybe there's a better way to filter the signals for a trending stock.

Looking at the chart I've attached I hope all is clear great opps going up and down.

Hope that makes sense, and it is a simple request to achieve.

Regards

Dave

Hmmm well what do we call it when supplu outstrips demand, or demand outstrips supply?

In the chart i posted there are periods whereby buying the market was the correct thing to do and ignoring the sell signals. There were also periods when it was better to focus on the sells rather than the buy's

A slight mod to get the trader in on the most PROFITABLE trades is all that i was raising for discussion, Trend or not profitability is what i feel is the focus point.

Be patient, the man is living in a homemade bomb shelter, with limited access to the internet, awaiting the end of days.

On a sunny day, when the birds are chirping and there are no airplane noises, he will answer your post  just kidding TRO.

Dave:

Doesn't matter what you call it, "IT IS WHAT IT IS". And that is my point, one person sees a trend, another a counter trend, another says it is noise. And from their perspectives, each one is correct.

But all that matters in trading is profit/loss.
