"Time is personal."
I think that's different to what Kaku was talking about. This is just, to the untrained eye, so to speak.
A bit like looking at two objects in the distance, same distance from you - one in bright light and the other in a dim light. To the untrained eye the brighter object will appear much closer.
TIME - What is it?

"Time is personal."
We might have been thinking about it differently.
What I was thinking was it was "personal" in that if one person's favorite hobby is playing chess but another person hates playing chess. The subjective time would feel much longer for the person who does not like playing chess. Time would just fly by for the person who loves playing chess. In that sense, it is the same activity for both people but the time is perceived differently. Maybe personal was not the best word to use but that is what I was thinking

Hmmmm... Very interesting thought here...
I like to think of the mind as a space/time ship...
Strange I know... But the mind has the ability to travel faster than the speed of light... Think about it... You imagine that you on a beautiful island in the Caribbean and *Poof* there you are in your mind... sipping on drinks through twirly straws out of Coconuts and Pineapples.... ahh the power of the mind to transport us to where we wanna be... or into who we wanna be...
In my mind I am a 100% successful trader... even when I lose a trade... I am still a winner in my mind, because of the image I transport myself to when I think about trading... Some shrink would call this denial... but I say deNile is in Egypt...
Ever notice how time travels faster when we do the things we love, as opposed to when you are sitting through a 3 hour seminar on the benefits of paper over plastic...?

Patience is not enough as a trader.
You have to become absolutely fine with the idea of infinite passage of time.
If you value time, you will not make a good longterm trader.
You don't put yourself under any time constraints other than that it happen in a reasonable amount of time.
You can not "demand" anything of the market.
You have to replace any feelings / desires for something that must happen.
