"Hey MO, I've made a couple of notes in green ( and a little in gold) on your pic. Could you tell me if I'm interpreting you correctly?"

He is just moving the position to maximize his potential...(get closer to a price level where he can maximize size)

And if price goes back up above the "moved" position, then you "shed" some lots so that your 00 is re-positioned to its "original" position higher up.

Correct?

"Maximize size" is not maximize space, it means maximize lots, correct?

Correct.

I only drew the fork so that you can visualize when/where/why you might draw a lower band.

The quarter-points are drawn with the TRO_ONETHIRD_DOTS indicator.

Yes, maximize lot size not Space ;)

If you feel the need to reduce your lot size by more than half then you should probably liquidate instead.

You really want to do your best to maintain a large lot size prior to the long(er) term move.

To anyone still struggling with the space concept

There is three types of space adjustments that you can do:

- Reduce Space:

you have a position of 5lots and add 3lots @ the current price your stop drops from 126.03 to 124.47
Image

- Expand Space:

you have a position of 8lots you liquidate 3lots at the current price now your position shifts up to 125.81
Image

- Accumulate Space or Lots:

here you are flat 8lots at the current price, then you place a limit order of 11lots at 122.06 your position is fixed

Hope that helps.

"Space" is only difficult to understand if you have not read a single post ;)

BTW, if you could put pictures in quotes like this:

Link to picture here
[] <--- /quote

that would be kewl

The smoothed 4 period MA HL/2 is the best squiggly setting that I have found for strong trends; for slower trends, I just adjust the MA up/down around the points where I would like to see it.

This is really not that different from drawing multiple trend lines...

I want to see the midpoint of the 1 MA stay below the 4 &, ideally, I would also like to see the quarter-points below the 4.
