"Pebble, I agree, those smaller TF opportunities just aren't worth it (from the point of view of a long term trader), especially when mentally fatigued from the lack of sleep, and trying to catch up to some 'goal'.
As for possibly deviating from the long term plan? I would like to say I won't, but if I do I'll open a thread titled 'Kreslik's Hall of Shame' and induct my self."
Yes, well what has happened to me in the past is I would use the smaller TF's for entries but would find myself getting lured into trading "opportunity" and ended up trading those smaller TF's instead of the larger one I was supposed to be trading.
One "success" technique I use is "Make It Public", whenever I'm going to do something trading related I send an email to several of my family members. When you make something you intend to do public than you are more likely to follow through with it. Some people create a journal on the forums which is doing something similar.

I removed from June of 2012 to current.
So this is what you would see if it was back in June of 2012. How did we know to trade JPY long term? Because it was the most over valued currency and it looked like it wasn't going to go more over valued.

I measured the same move in pips for each JPY pair:
EURJPY - 3278 pips
GBPJPY - 2658 pips
CHFJPY - 2418 pips
AUDJPY - 2205 pips
NZDJPY - 2014 pips
CADJPY - 1848 pips
USDJPY - 1546 pips
It clearly makes a difference which currency you pair JPY with.
Look at the 4 candidates to pair it with based on them being undervalued and see how it compares with the biggest movers in pips:
EURJPY - 3278 pips
GBPJPY - 2658 pips
CHFJPY - 2418 pips

Hey TEX, please don't feel insulted. I was simply pointing out that from reading MO posts for the past few years, it seems like he creatively repeats information just to help people understand things.
Don't worry, Nimo, I've actually got thicker skin than I let on sometimes
I actually started it by comparing myself to a Neanderthal and MO to a Jesuit trying to teach me the Trinity
I about fell out of my chair laughing my ass off when he said it was more like daddy teaching his son that a cylindrical object fits in a round hole

Why do people go out of their way to be trading educators (this really sux!)?

Because you know that your the only One on web forums teaching how to be the "Greatest trader in the world".
Maybe i have drank too much.
What the *censored - swear word* does your post mean exactly?
Are you saying that Drock is trying to be a guru, or that MO is?
Or are you saying that we should all follow other peoples trading calls and trade off BB?
?
Bend over and assume the position for another 4 years of hope and change.

Aliassmith,
Great to see you.....I know what you mean about the forum, up till now its been pretty scarce. I'm going to move to futures hopefully late this year and do both until i'm setup completely on futures. I like gold, and cocoa, sugar....
Scalping burned you out eh? I'm not to that point yet, too lucrative. I use a MM based off space and what you were doing at the end of your last thread. Using a 1 week cycle then I start over.
Oh, well ....never got to thank you for all your charts and post, they helped get me where I am today....
