Pardon me while I derail this thread again

the weekend is coming, jamming out to some good tunes this lovely friday

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfm_ROTbUCw
Cloudkicker - Beacons

for those of you who don't know, he's a 1 man band. Self recorded, written, and produced. so bad ass

no lyrics, as more music should be

I'd love some more recommendations along these lines if I'm not alone

Also, for the rum following there seems to be here: I cracked open a bottle of "Zaya" this week. 12 years old, incredibly affordable. I was astonished, very very nice

If I don't get around to your post it is because this is the time (late last quarter of every year) around which I am getting ready for the new year.

I usually say something like 'price will move a thousand pips next year, where will you be' ;)

I have so much to do:

1) Finish 4 courses on Python at the O'Reilly School of Tech. (online).

2) Get around to reading 1,500 pages on Omaha poker by Jeff Hwang.
for those who don't know, the study of poker has a positive impact on trader.

and then other things that are really not that important like learning electronics (anyone can have candle color indicators on their charts, but what about candle color indicators with light bulbs...just because I can ;) )

Next year, when people realize the world is not going to end, times will be good as we cont. to short the hell out of everything (esp metals). May the world buy all the way down...

Hi MO do you still trade options ?

I have been right many times this year but failed to manage the trades properly to make the most of the trend, so I am thinking to switch to trading options when I accumulate enough money

otc options on saxobank have as low as 10k contract but the commission is high 10$ I believe

No.

I am currently in favor of an FX/Stock portfolio.

I only trade options & spreads on Futures & I wouldn't even consider trading an option on FX.

I thought you never trade stocks :)

Is it because of the difference in liquidity between Exchange traded options and OTC that you don't trade them ?

I don't 'trade' stocks...
maybe next year we will talk about it ;)

To be honest, I never really cared to move outside of options on Futures because that has been my bread and butter for over a decade.

FX, Stocks, or trading outright could never compare to the mountain of cash that is the options (on Futures) market.

I am in favour of diversification :)

As I traded nothing beside FX spot I would like to see how you traded options I hope you find some time to explain that in the coming year.

Mo,
When you are trading future spreads are you legging in and out or do you have a broker that offer some of the common spreads?
