What is a pattern and what is a breakout?

Price moves away from patterns (angled congestion).

EDIT: notice how the channel is always angled in the direction of the breakout.

This is a picture of how space works, X is profit and O is loss.

Whatever happened in the past does not matter and whatever happens in the present will not matter until you make
a decision that magnifies the past (revert to smaller sizes).

it is like the casino is the Phoenix and you are trying to heal faster than she can destroy you, but there is no real advantage
until you run her through.

Do not reduce your bet size if you are not winning, that is the secret.

The question is whether or not you have the resources to wield that money edge.

If you were at a casino you might increase your min. size every 3 weeks and so many sessions, but who knows how many months of play it will take for things to swing in your favor.

Scripts to speed up drawing 15 lines. You can easy adjust code to own needs.

HINT1. Right click on script in navigator to setup hotkey.
HINT2. New gaming Logitech keyboard have customizable G-keys and mark keys by color. (Waiting for G910 after I spilt coffee at my old good G11).

I am married to my Logitech K360, best keyboard that I have ever owned.

jrtrading wrote:MightyOne, is it possible you can explain more the X/O pattern you posted on Tuesday?
I see you posted more about it in the TRO TRADING VIDEOS thread just now, which helped.
What does the smaller [X/O] versus the larger [X/O] represent?

The past and the present are moving towards zero.

As things become more expensive ($3, $4, $5, $6, $8, $10, $12, $16, $20, $24,...) the value of the past is only
$3/$24 (1/8) what it is today so it has "faded" going into the present (the moment before change).

Let's say that you were gambling in a home game of Pai Gow (tiles) & you could bet anywhere from $1 to $100.
The guy betting the dollar would, in theory, have the advantage because he is getting more action when he has the edge.
But what would happen if the opponents steadily increase their minimum bets? They would march the past/present towards zero until they gain the upswing and then they would revert back to minimum size to expand their lead.

The guy betting just $1 will not realize his "edge" for a thousand lifetimes.

Now let's say that you were trading and could wager $30 to $3000 per line and win greater than even money...

If there is a breakout then 00 is the previous extreme, not the midpoint.

Thanks MightyOne for the reply,
Your answer was pretty deep so I will have to digest what you have written - again, thanks.

An update of PTG's chart.

The exact placement of the lines, that form the channels, is not important.

Observe this phenomenon and try to make better decisions:
