I don't mean to hijack this thread and become too political

But I felt this should be shared, for those who haven't seen it

I love infographics

Such an inarguable way to present information

The scale is almost unimaginable

If you ever find yourself in South Florida, you are welcome to some of mine. I drink only on occasion so I've still got quite a full bottle. I lost so much weight in the last month, now that I'm just gaining it back I'm hard pressed not to do anything to endanger my inclining good health.

I have however spent some time looking for the angostura, having been to 3 or 4 stores down here I can't find it. Crown wine is the big chain down here and they can't help me. When I inquired to their corporate headquarters they told me that it is no longer sold in Florida... ? All of my wtf... So I found a store a few hours from here with 4 bottles left and I'll be getting some sent to me in the next month or so... Along with a Flor de Cana, which I'm required to try seeing as how my wife is from Nicaragua :D

I never was aware of the issues associated with shipping liquor in this country... utter bs...

Beyond all of this, I was curious if you had tried English Harbour, they make a 7 year I believe which is just as elusive but substantially more expensive. I also understand it to be fantastic though.

Whether I drink it or not, I consider having fine rum sitting around another untaxable store of wealth. Just like my pounds of ammunition. It will never go bad, and theoretically can't lose value...

... Unless of course I drink it ...

Personally, I found Flor de Cana to be lackluster:

Right away I was put off by the plastic top (instead of a cork) and my fears were realized first sip that it was an inferior product.

What did I even pay for this thing...I believe it was $40-50.

Ron Zacapa was $44 and I would drink that 51 times before I would even consider For de Cana again.

While I'm waiting for my good rums to arrive, I drink Captain Morgan Black (not that it is not good, it is just...not...refined(?)
If you drink aged rums then you know what I am trying to say ;)

I will give English Harbour a try, why not! Cheers!

Seeing as it's still light out, I'll stick with something soft

Bought some brandy today but it is cack. Will only be able to sip it. Only good for cooking....or having as a chaser with stout.
