If you see it enough times then you will know what it looks like.

This is also a perfect example of the "not all green candles that close over something are bullish indicators" pic
that I posted.
Here you can see price "bend backwards", it cancels profit, the range is overly large...just as described in the pic
that I drew for you.

All patterns are related in some way to one another.

Yep- I get it- Closing above-below line- Follow bars- Not wicks etc.
But what I see in the same pattern is probably the most common market alogrythm setup there is.
The boy'z at Goldman call it the ambush trade. ( Not that I ever traded there- but know someone who did).
The pattern is objective - quantifiable and measurable. Combine it with the other things I see mentioned in your thread
( at high's and lows of the range ) and it's like $$ in the bank.

This is the same pattern from the hourly chart but executed on the smaller charts today with my live trades today.
Building my short positions.

The ability to see with your own eyes & to think your own thoughts, that is what makes money.

Just an updated chart.

Lines are always horizontal or 15*.

You can draw a 15* angle as long as the chart is touching the top/bottom 10% of the page;
you can compress your chart horizontally as much as you want, the angles will still work.

Why do 15* angles work so well? They are magical! :^o
