Right now Im eating turkey and cheese with mayo meat rollups and roasted almonds.
For breakfast had a power crunch bar (9 carbs, 11 fat, 13 protein). Definately not ideal but had to run to eye doc.
First checkup in 20yrs. 20/30 vision
Then ate for early lunch 2bbq'd grassfed beef burgers with cheese, pickles, mayo, mustard, chopped up.
Later tonight I might grab another power crunch bar or eat a few leftovers the wife cooks after I train.

She is low carbing pretty strict because of high bloodsugar being pregnant. Been keeping it @74-80 in AM and then a max of 120 2hrs after meals. Pretty good for a prego. LOL
You know how they crave stuff.

Keep in mind its 100 degrees + at the machine Im working on 10hrs a day so Im drinking water basically non stop. Also it was 1lb of burger meat and just finished 1/2 lb. Of turkey.

I've been following Stephanie "Keto" Person on YouTube.

I don't know what "full Keto" is...
all that I know is that your ratio is 80-15-5 & that you try to keep your carbs at or below 15g (net carbs) per meal by eating leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, and some fruits:
Dark leafy greens, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms, cauliflower, avocados, chia seeds, coconut milk, blueberries, lemons.
1) Eating too many carbs or even protein will knock your body out of ketosis.
2) exercise will burn glycogen stores and help your body produce ketones.
3) fasting, which I am against, will also help your body produce ketones.
4) you need some carbs because they prevent ketoacidosis.

This morning I had 3 egg yolks cooked in Ghee butter & a tub of spring mix tossed in a generous amount of avocado oil w/ a dash of pink sea salt (~761 calories)

Later I will have 12 oz of uncured bacon & maybe another tub of spring mix.

I'm not afraid of failure because failure is not an option.

Sounds like your doing great.

1st step being male, cut the morning carbs out totally.

It is very very hard to get into true ketosis, and NOT required.
Eating 15 grams per meal it will never happen. Not even 5 per meal.
Using keto sticks and checking you pee is bogus.
50 grams or less per day is considered very low carb, 20 grams or less is ultra low carb.

4) you need some carbs because they prevent ketoacidosis
This is a LIE.
Diabetics are at risk of ketoacidosis but it is totally different than ketosis AND is deadly.
No relation at all.

Btw,
Side Note.
My wife works on the endocrine floor @ a childrens hospital.
She gets specialized training on ketoacidosis for her patients.
She was commended today by her doc for having PERFECT blood sugars 5x a day for the last month even though she has gestational diabetes.
(This is caused during pregnancy in some women by a hormone released from the placenta. This hormone causes the cells of the body to become insulin resistant)

The sickness has passed and I feel much better.

I've been using: sea salt, magnesium, D3, C, & will be adding K1/K2 shortly.
K2 is probably overkill as it is found in egg yolks & fatty meats...

I started drinking Black Tea because it has antioxidants that keep your arteries clear.
I am aware that the caffeine can be a problem so I am limiting my intake to 2 glasses.

Today's late breakfast was 6 egg yolks scrambled and cooked in Ghee with a side of spring mix in olive oil and sea salt.

330 calories from the eggs + 20 calories from salad (<2 net carbs) + 100 calories from Ghee + 250 calories from avocado oil
= 700 calories.

Stephanie Person recommends checking both your glucose and ketones by pricking your finger; in that way you can tell if you are truly "keto adapted".

Do not dismiss the use of coconut oils for cooking and eating.
I mix mine in my "bulletproof" coffee

He "stole"some of keifers info. after an interview with out giving credit to him. Put it in his bulletproof diet book

"Keto-adapted" is a misnomer!
How can you become something when you were made with the ability already from a physiological standpoint.

Also, watch the brand of olive oil you use!!!!
Most. I say MOST are made with canola oil(bad)
Brands from california and a couple from overseas are the only ones that are legit.

It would be nice if TRO's HTBL_ZONE indicator left the previous zone on the chart...
or let us select which zone: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 days ago.

That said, would you have taken a short trigger? :wink:
