No - price hugs the top of the Ladle - this encourages the belief that the top will never break

More and more sellers pile in - and put their BUY stops above the line

Thus - when the price breaks up the pressure on price to move is immense.

i.e. both the short traders with their buy stops and B/O traders are buying.

sorry if I'm not making sense - I know what i mean anyhow :)

One problem I have is that withnail and Mo can both take the trade before the break - I seem to miss some by taking the trade only after the retest - and then its too late sometimes.

I cant seem to get the timing right - Although price does tend to "stick" before a break - I would love to hear Mo's view

I was contemplating this price action all the while before the break upwards...

I first looked at it like How MO draws a range from the extreme...

And as you can see there was no retest of the range...

BUT what I realized is that there were ZLINES a plenty on the way up... (here's where the pro's get in)

Image

So I then reasoned that new or higher accumulation "could" occur (and MO has shown this before) by moving between Ranges/Steps or what we ultimately define as ZeroLines...

As you can see there was sufficient MOMO to prompt someone like Withnail or MO to trade in the direction of profit...

Image

What I found pretty fascinating... (and I'm probably complicating things here, or reading too deeply into MO's post) was that the trend line break also gave the entry...

Image

This last idea blew my mind, but then again they do say small things amuse small minds...

There are some interesting ideas there Jala - I feel the need of more markups coming on :)

I was working on WRB's (wide range bodies) that have a hidden gap that I was reading about - I am currently researching just how many of my successful trades were within these areas - and more importantly how many of my unsuccessful trades were best left alone if this PA was NOT present.

the red candle is simply a liquidity gap ( it looks like it also zeroed the BO traders- they backfill easily

the green area breaks supply (pointy places) therefore important

just because a candle is long - does not necessarily qualify it as momo

jmo btw

Hello fellows traders,

My first post here. English is not my native language. So it's not easy for me to write or understand you, but I learn.
I like to listen our teachers here I would like to thanks them to stick with us and particularly MO.
I feel like all my classmates had left the classroom for the next stages and I'm still here in the classroom and MO doesn't want me to leave the class until I get all his stuffs.
MO what do you mean by small bodies shift attn to larger bodies?
do you mean candle wick showing the loss?

Thanks you.

redart9,

He means that you can see the LARGER bodies easier because of the small bodies... which translates to ONLY the Large bodies are Important...

That is true, context is everything in trading.

I wouldn't trade something that has a weekly chart that has been dead for months
