Start with the basic pattern, a double hook, and notice that the second hook is a breakout that defines the triangle:
"I saw a triangle around here somewhere...
*moves dirt with foot*
...& this spot where the cricket jumped up and tried to bite me in the knee is not part of it"
Start with the simple and then add to it if needed.
It might be the case that you adjust the placement &/or angle of the lines having found the median line.
Maybe something simpler for me. I see the double hook and place my angle cutting it. Then find its downward opposite angle. Then a channel and a median line. This kind of correct?

Dude you got this... Don't sweat it... Now just rinse and repeat
When I try to learn a new trading idea I break it down into "abc blocks", just my slang meaning break the idea down so a 5 year old could understand.
1. Start with 1 15* angle placed at a double hook, start it at the 1st hooks extreme then cut through the next hook. That's your 1st line.
2. Find its opposite angle next.
3. Then build a channel around the first line.
4. Watch how price reacts around those 4 lines as then extend out and price moves.
p48 of this thread also has about a half a dozen repost of good idea's from MO about how to use/build/whatever with angles. Also remember MO talks about mastering the basics first, then worry about confluence idea's.

This is what some freq looks like on Brexit/Bremain... Short+33%, Long+13%. If I tried trading it manually I'm sure I would have been whipped and lost. I bet V8 beat my machines...
I did ok . Orginally I was bullish but after watching the market run its self up like crazy the 2 days prior and all mainstream media talking like it was a sure bet that it would be a vote for stay, I just knew it was gonna sell and sell flipping hard.
I literally would max out my margin, then let it move in my favor and just kept adding and adding and adding. I thought for sure my broker was going to tell me go F myself and that they weren't paying me. I def took some losses cuz I wasn't use to price moving like that but it was all good. Blew away my 5,000 pip goal for the week. But how cant you when you have an almost 2,000 pip move.
Im surprised volatility hasn't stayed higher. I was hoping for weeks or months of movement like when the housing market crashed in 08-09. Maybe Im being gteedy though.

Well your trade idea's always seem to be spot on. So I would examine what is causing you to lose, cuz you should be winning by what I see.
