Mo based on the DMM image how would you set up the number of lots value in your spread sheet. and do I have the rest of the values correct ? based on the DMM image.

Thanks for the Answer Mo, That clears up how to use it for me. But brings up a few more questions in return [schild=1 fontcolor=000000 shadowcolor=C0C0C0 shieldshadow=1]question[/schild]

In your first image how does one risk 7 times their account size if you have a 10k (1 mini) account and risk 70k (7mini)

Also wouldn't a $700 account be .07 in the account size in lots
7k = .7
70k = 7

On my account I can trade standard lots, mini or micro.

7.0 = $70 tick / pip
.7 = $7 tick / pip
.07 = 70c tick / pip

I think this is were my confusion was coming from. I'm not sure if a decimal could be implemented in the number of lots to reflect the account size or am I way off base here in my thinking lol.

Thanks

This has nothing to do with your platform:

Standard lot: $100,000
Mini lot: $10,000

A mini lot is 10% of $100,000 (0.1)

If you have have a $250,000 account then what is your account size in lots?

2.5 standard lots.

LeverageUSD is 38:1 and 20% this is 7.6

2.5 * 7.6 = 19

Your initial position size can be no greater than 19 standard lots.

Your account size is $19,487,623.37, what is your account size in lots?

19.4 full lots

& your maximum initial size is 147.4

Max is 737.2 million at 38:1.

"In your first image how does one risk 7 times their account size if you have a 10k (1 mini) account and risk 70k (7mini)" -Sledge

I am not sure what you are asking :?

How would someone risk 7x their account size if they had a $10,000 account and risked $70,000?

LeverageUSD is 38:1
Maximum risk is 38 * 0.09 or 3.4%

The risk is $340 per trade/box

Your initial size is $7/pip

$340 / $7 = a box of 48.5 pips

"But I want to use a 60 pip box!"

-You have 2 options:

6 mini lots: (7/6) * 48.5 = 56.5 pips
5 mini lots: (7/5) * 48.5 = 67.9 pips

Here is another fun "suggestion":

Excel will automatically "highlight" the closest retracement match with the
next shade in color using what we learned about color perception:

"Color should not be used irregularly. Color choices should be made
thoughtfully, with an understanding of our perception of color and the
importance of color differences. Some colors are hot and demand our
attention, while others are cooler and less visible. When any color appears
as a contrast relative to the norm, our eyes pay attention and our brains
attempt to assign meaning to that contrast. When colors in two different
sections of a spreadsheet are the same, we are tempted to relate them to
one another."

Scroll all the way to the bottom to see the "construction functions" used to
dynamically highlight the closest retracement match.

MO & PebbleTrader - I may be missing a bit of information here and thus am struggling to understand the (Lots) concept... is there anyway you could add a section on the spreadsheet where we can input our physical account size, as well as predefined risk% tolerance and let it feed of the pincushion variable in pips and then the sheet will perhaps suggest or calculate the Account size LOTS, leverage etc and give us dyslexic peeps a chance to take this course on standard grade... I mean I understand the logic... I just struggle with the numbers and the way they have been laid out...

Thanking you kindly ;-)

Jalarupa suggestion:

Select trade size: Standard, Mini, or Micro
Enter Account Size in dollars: Ex. $100,000

Account Size (Lots) is calculated automatically based on the drop down box size selection: Standard, Mini, or Micro.

My H1 closed below my previous line in the sand.
Opened new trade 3 lot/45 pips and now at 3 lots/100 pips.
