LiS = Line in Sand

obviously your choice.. why not use the ZL just pips lower? it just jumps out

Very true that is probably a better place for the line in the sand. I was just
going by MightyOne's post about 40% retrace. I think I will change it thou. :)

40% MAXIMUM[s]

Please don't move ahead, there is more to talk about in this thread

Ok it looks like you scan the chart for the biggest candles on the chart and use the average range to calculate the Box. Correct? (+1/3)

What i dont understand is where comes this 1/3 from?
how do i calculate the 1/3?

Looks to me like its ensuring that a single candle cant wipe out your position, giving time to reassess and adjust lots.

G.

Correct

You don't "calculate" 1/3, you attempt to make sure there is space to work with even if you are wrong; you don't want to drop from 7 lots to 4 just because you have so little space left that a 75% expansion is required.

hmmm i still dont understand how big my first Box should be.

below is a picture of what i thought i see in your first Pic.

But that 1/3 that creates your full Box i dont understand.

Or maybe im totaly wrong with my thinking

Hey Mo I am still sticking around. I'm interested! I just think my
implementation of the method is off some where. So my line in the sand
should be 40% from the maximum move positive?

Stop getting hung up on exact numbers and calculations....

think for a moment about what would happen if one of those big candles jumped up and spanked you...

now view the box and the if/then line with this in mind.

The box has NOTHING to do with where you place your IF/THEN LOS!

If price is going lower then it is closing lower...
there is a real technical reason for placing your line in the sand.

Hey MO please can you comment on this observation... I feel like I could be missing a lot (no pun intended although its kinda ironic all the same).

BTW the maths overwhelms me, so I haven't gone into it in such detail as others... I'm just looking to see if I get what you are saying...

Ha,

I thought as much... I see numbers and equations as I get tunnel vision and blank out... The past month has been like I was back in 10th Grade Math class... I guess I'm going to have to relook at this thread in detail... But I am determined to get this under wraps cause I believe that the concept makes the most sense out of everything I have seen regarding Money Management...

Now just to get myself to understand it... Hopefully... :)
