Not sure if there is a a precise cause and exact, determinable effect...i.e. predictive power, but what Whitakerj says is food for thougt, if not plausible.

Much too hard to code TRO PLOT in eSignal.

I already have coded enough eSignal indicators.

The chart as I see it:

- Double bottom
- Range expands / Momentum follows
- Range contracts / Momentum falls
- After range contraction, market ends one swing and changes direction

Conclusion, market contraction signals the end of the swing before the market ponders its next move.

Hi TRO,

Taken from the opening post...
Comments most welcome!

SD

** EDIT ** To clarify, FIRST LOWER CLOSE should read FIRST CLOSE LOWER THAN PREVIOUS BAR'S LOW after the range has contracted to a local norm.

A text version of what?

If you are talking about TRO PLOT, there is nothing to it!!

I just plots whatever you give it as inputs.

It's just that EasyLangauge is INTERPRETED so you can pass functions as parameters.
