How long did this process take you until you started to get it?

Patch
In VA

cant exactly remember :)

it didnt take that long in terms of weeks/ months, but in terms of hrs it took a good amount of time

i would do this if i was you

1. read thru the thread and save every one of MO and Dragon's posts in a file----------- i wouldn't save any of my posts until i start answering q's regarding the zl's.

2. take their charts and go back on your charts and mark them exactly the same way. After you do it for a while it will start to click.

3. just keep doing it till you see it

it all really is right there in the thread

it really boils down to the following

body in direction of profit---- wick in direction of loss

closed bodies are the truth----- current candle is the illusion

momentum shows the way

others held profit is the easiest money to make

a price chart is nothing more than a road map of traders emotions--- you take advantage of their emotions to make money
Bend over and assume the position for another 4 years of hope and change.

that's what i was saying the other day

u need to trade at a level that has no financial bearing on your account and prove to yourself that you can do this and then increase based off of profits

that is non sense to lose the % on your account that you have posted. It's crazy, reckless and makes no logical sense at all.

start over and take it slow

build the foundation Pro---- build the foundation

+52.2 total Asian session.
Long e/j, g/j, and g/u.
All three trades looked basically the same.

3 momo trades that I screwed up and got into before the pullback.....had stop set at 5 pips below green z-line on each trade....saw a -34 pips drawdown while it made wick in direction of loss.......then grabbed the positive pips when it took off because asian session usually gives false break... Hmmmmmm

Pro,

Interesting way to draw the zline.

Good trade.

hey guys and gal,

I'm not draw in z-lines...any that are on my chart are from the blubbb modified fgv indicator........

I'm just showing the trades on the higher time frame.
The actual z-lines for entry will show up on the lower time frame.
The failed trade that es/pip broke down for me was actually taken on a M1 z-line setup.....would have been a perfect scalp for 8 pips but had NO backing from the higher time frames.

This is a very interesting balancing act to get enough momo to push you to profit but not be late to the party by waiting on the higher time frames to form..........
Unless that is, you don't mind huge drawdowns and waiting for the daily/weekly candles to come to fruition. hehehe

Crazy Daisy News Trading:
Couldn't resist.

I did sit through London session without taking a trade. Did not see an H1 momo setup that was a good entry for me.
London 0 trades.
Still 13 trades to go on my first 20 trade stretch following strict guidelines.

NY, Yikes.
Was short and down about 12 pips total when all of a sudden Poof. -104 instantly.
No biggie, news always retraces right.
Then went short and fxcm was showing -1.1ish when mt4 price was down 40 pips...Hmmmmm finally gave it up after a min or two....then went long for the 2nd run with double as we know it always goes long again right??
Well,
+51.5 for day.
Not bad being I spotted them about 140ish !!! LOL
Next time I'll wait for the 2nd push instead of trying to pick a direction and getting whipsawed around before hand.
Think I'll trade news with micro lots just for the fun of it even when I do get to banking big time.
(I know, I know, trading is suppose to be emotionless, ok)

Asian session: 1 trade

Totally wrong,
Against H1 momo trying to scalp retrace/channel support from M5 consolidation area.

-13.4

I saw +5.4....but let it hit my stop. I'm totally fine with the stop being hit but not very happy about the choice of trade. The 19 would have been a perfect h1 z-line entry short.

EUR/JPY 1 B 138.190 138.056 -13.4 -1.38 0.00 8/9/2009 20:07 8/9/2009 20:25

Can't believe I went long unless I was trading the daily chart.
