Yeah, today I had some Hella good entries....
Still ended the day down -3 pips NY session...
2 trades london session for +8.5 pips

Look at this chart.
I started the NY session long from 4058 and 4050...... for -13.xx pips total.
then I got back in at 48 and 49.......
The first trades would have had a max draw down of 14 pips.
The 2nd trades I took profit and saw NO draw down on either.
Was still down -3 pips though.

I ended up making most of my pips back on 2 sell orders waaaaaaay up there.

-3 for the day.

If I can enter the smaller time frame I'm pretty good at keeping drawdown to a min.
But, after that I've got to pick a higher time frame to exit.

You guys have some very good ideas that I will review and study your charts.
Thanks for the help.

Here is what I traded this morning.
If you look at my trades I picked both the BOTTOM and the TOP.
Just could not hold, well I had to hold the two from the top or I would have lost 25 pips for the day... LOL
See here entries and pic:

This is how I was taught to draw TL's from an expensive mentorship that shall not be named because of small details like signed contracts with $250,000 penalties for sharing information ;)

When price makes a higher high then and only then can you connect the lows.

Take the TL and find a candle in the past that price is keying in on and create a channel.

Double the size of the channel and add middle lines to each tube.

When price is in the top quarter trade short and when price is in the lower quarter trade long:

FX,
I just use dynfibs S/R with different settings.. Make sure you set the 4,5,6 or whatever to the timeframe you want to "watch" and what semafor you are going to look at.

For instance.
When using a M1 chart and wanting to know when a #3 pops up on a 15m chart you would multiply 15x34 for the iperiod setting. 15-M1 candles to 1- M15 candle times the 34 #3 setting.
Change wingdings to the # you desire. 143 would be a #4.

If your talking about the regular 3LZZ then you'll have to ask TRO.
Might install 2 and change the settings????
I think teo had #'s like that but I like to see where it's been so I can trade the breaks and reversals.

Push up, retrace, push up, retrace. A pattern which repeats.

It's coming to resistance, lets see what will happen. If it breaks it with momentum and continues up we could be in for a good run.

And hey, exactly what you said, trading is really simple if you allow it to be. Don't get side-tracked with all those indicators you have on your chart you really only need one thing, and you already know what that is ;)

Image

Resistance held, but eventually broke through. Did you go long?

+25% yesterday after recovering 6% loss.. 4 trades. Try cutting down on how many trades you make to just a couple pro.. it seems like whatever you make you give back, because you're constantly taking positions.

Why not "test the water" with your minimum amount of lots available to you and after 5-10pips enter with a bigger amount. I can see there you have two sells and a buy in less than a minute... in another minute you have one sell and one buy. What are you doing? You're trading not playing ping pong lol

I think your shear quantity of trades is your downfall at the moment... I'm no 'professional' trader but even tro is saying only 2 trades per hour

Pierre23,

Some good points.
Sometimes it may be required to hear things from someone other than your daddy before they sink in.
LOL

Thanks.

Asian session

-4.8

First was a buyzone trade.
The next 3 were trying to pick the top of a pullback that wasn't really a pullback.

pierre23,
I don't.
I just look at my daily p/l or what my account balance is.
It grumps me when I go over 30 trades because that is all it will show in the closed positions box.....
We will not be able to use open position box or s/l so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

May have to go to a UK broker but you can't have the micro over there.
Hmmmmmmm

BTW,
I've been watching the buyzone trades with g/u and e/j.
Damn, you could make a killing.
Lots of times when price stalled on the short you could have went long at the sell zone or vice-versa for "extra" pippage...
Nice.

Now that I know more about how prices move (been a few month's since looking at buyzones) i may be able to make it work.
Or shall I say, let it work.

+8.2
London and NY.
Have not learned a thing.
made broker "more richer"...hehehe

Up to $28.03 in account yeee haaaaww.

I know, your sin is that you think about money more than the trade.
May go to a sports psychologist....... LOL

entries,
yeah, I had to make 95 pips on one trade just to get back to b/e. (4 entries)
Same story different day.

Sample of last 30.

"why do 95% of all traders fail"??

Dang, I didn't even realize it but I had like 9 stops hit in a row...
That thing was dropping like a rock and I just kept buying and buying....Not sure what goes on in my head? Every time I seem to go with the trend it's to late and I get whippsawed out......Seems that I'm so scared it can't go any lower/higher that I just can't force myself to do it..........
More Hmmmmmmm's

Some buyzones the 12:00 hr central time zone.
Even though it was like watching paint dry look at these.

DONT THINK/JUST ACT........
More Hmmmmmm's.

pro... change the ebtry trigger to 10 pips from the open, and trade the first 3 hours of any session.... a candle can hit both buy and sell 3-4 times before it finally decides on the direction..... 10 pips, or at least paper trade while you are trading something else...
