Don't you have a rule in your trading plan:
"After N loses - finish trading for the day".
N usually is 3, 5 at maximum.

Profitable trade is not like run-away last train -
if you missed one, next trade - is just around the corner.

Having had N loses in the row - stop traing for a day,
it was not your day, tomorrow will be better.

None of them have told me to trade like this.
It will only work if I follow it.

I heard a true story of a man who would trade live until one loss and trade demo until two wins...

something to ponder anyways.

looky here.
I picked up 8 short but it looks like there is a lot more to be had.
Dont' mind the green line, that's a demo sale to see what happens.
I'm up 58 pips on 2 trades with the demo.
Only 17 with the real account.

I've been thinking about this for 2 days.
Your a genius.
It's when I lose a trade of more than single digits that my mind goes nuts.
This would prevent me from trying to "get back" or get into a "heard mentality" mode.

What is happening is that I'm actually a sheep/pig that makes a few good trades. Then I get a loss and revert back to my "natural" instincts which is to be the heard. If I were to take a few trades on the demo It would allow me to have a "time out" like you give to a 5yo.

Until "fading" the market (psycho-bi-polar mr. market) becomes my natural state and an ingrained habit this should do the trick. At least if I have 3,4,8 losses in a row it won't be doing any more damage.
After I Get a couple wins then I'll be back in the proper state of mind and seeing the flow of the heard. Then I can fade them.

According to my goal sheet death occurs when you accumulate a loss of 390 pips which is about a 50% loss or 20 to 25 bad trades.

When you die your position size gets cut in half because you can no longer sustain your position sizes.

Lose 390 pips and you will die again and your position size is reduced by half a second time.

"I thought that you don't scale down"

This is not scaling down, you are bust and are starting over.

It's the only chart you will ever SEE.
There is no other chart out there.
Every day we open our trading platform this is what we are looking at.
Sometimes it's upside down but it's always the same.

Breakout/retrace/consolidation

Sometimes the retrace is a little bigger than normal and then the chart turns upside down. Ok.

What do you SEE then.
