Double Dipping

Postby razorboy » Thu May 07, 2009 7:55 pm

I think you forgot one thing...........

no double dipping? One shot per pair an hour - you stop out you sit it out till the next hour

no?

TheRumpledOne wrote:ALL YOU NEED TO TRADE IS A HORIZONTAL LINE

TRADING IS SIMPLE.

There is an entire industry built around making you think it is complicated.

All you need is a HORIZONTAL LINE on your chart to be a profitable trader.

I bet you doubt me, don't you?

Go long when the price moves UP to a price ends in 00, 25, 50 or 75.

Go short when the price moves DOWN to a price ends in 00, 25, 50 or 75.

IT IS THAT SIMPLE!!

Look at the chart and see how many pips you can make when you trade with the H1 candle color.

Pick ANY candle on the H1 chart.

1) identify the color.

2) let the candle close

3) if the next candle is NOT the same color then:

if the current candle is GREEN go LONG at the FIRST line it approaches

if the current candle is RED go SHORT at the FIRST line it approaches

When to exit? Usually, when price stalls.

Stop loss? If price crosses the previous candle's midpoint.

Does that help?

Congrats, pro !!!
Well done!

But to be exactly break-even - you still have to earn
$7.91 ($500 + $50 - $492.68 - $49.41),
unless you're lucky to have broker,
who's not charging $50 withdrawal fee.

I hope, you'll achieve this in 2 trades at maximum.
And then - you'll have all Forex market at your disposal.
Progressing with speed of arithmetic progression -
one only could imagine all the horizonts rising before him!

Don't stop this thread - we'll lose such a good educational resource then!

I thought about a way to bring more awareness to my emotions and help me look like a poker player while trading.
This weekend I'm getting a mirror to set between my monitor and my laptop.
This will let me see if all the veins are popping out of my head. Or if my face is riled in a grimace.
And,
What about a big smile or a look of elation and exuberance?

They all come from the same location within us.
Maybe I can try to look like all the old men that you see on the poker channel.
LOL

pierre23 wrote:Pro, what currency are you trading? I'm mainly trade the EJ, did you take the 25 psych short this hour? 100pips right there. I managed 32, but because I was using double lots on my live accnt I saw it stalling and took my profit. Puts me at +96.6p/+$132/+13.2% so far today. Helps after a decent hit to the accnt last night with 2 stupid trades.

Just got to minimize losses and work on the profitable trades. It's getting easier the more I trade, because I can start to see my winners are usually much larger than a loss I could have had, but let run which turned into a bigger loss.

pierre23,
Sorry I missed your question.
Yes, I've settled on e/j for now.
Lots of pips available and it will make me better down the road if I ever start trading multiple pairs.

Sounds like you are fairly new at this too.
How long have you been trading?

Which method are you using?
