M.O., I do not short A/U.

Only longs, I've basically been trading E/U almost exclusively the past few weeks. But, NICE TRADING YOUR DOING THERE.

Sample Trade

So why did you go long and why did you exit?

Bought one z-line and exited the other....don't the indicators on the chart tell you that?

I'll get into indicators and their usage after I get psychologically well enough to produce the results they are capable of. 90%+ success with very small losses.

Laugh now, but you can get some huge runners if your willing to allow the market to give them to you. Need to look at the monthly/weekly every now and then.

Got a new X-mas present from dad.
It's the ForexTester2.

Image

last weekend I went to his house and we took 7 trades and made 340 pips. One loss of 32 pips. 72hrs of chart time traded in just over an 1 hr.

Yesterday I went over and we took 7 trades and made about 300 again. EU was in a funk so it took a week of chart time. He's trading from 2001. We Had one loss of 9.5 pips that I told him NOT to take. He was trying to add a 3rd time when we were at near term support. It was NOT a system trade.

Anyway, Here are my first 2 trades above with the tester2. I'm starting in Dec. 08 about a week before my trading career actually started with live accounts. The goal is to produce good trading habits and build psychological confidence if my chosen methodology.
I'm starting with $1k just like I did back then.

I go day shift Jan. 3rd so I'll be trading London. Getting up at 1:45am CST and heading to work at 5am for a 6-3:30 shift. I will try to monitor any trades during NY with my Droid. I may take some trades if good opportunities present themselves and I'm available at the time they setup.

All trades are based on H4 direction and entry is on smaller time frame momentum.
First target 1/3 pos. is next psych level (15-25 pips) and then trail 10 pips behind each psych level with 2/3 of position.

How many pips you make is not everything.

Only important thing is how much money.

100 pips emotionally is easier to handle than saying you are risking 10,000 or 50,000 dollars. it's 100 pips no matter what

More testing/practice.

This bitch keeps stopping me out at b/e on 2nd 1/2 of entry. Now I'm using 3 lots and taking off 1/3 instead of 1/2. Then later I go to 4 and take of 1/4 of entry.

Keep plugging.

I can see why you don't need a smaller time frame than m15 to refine your entries. These were taken in the H4 direction. Sell was counter trend using h4 long wick candle to switch directional bias. Here 's how it looks on h1.
