Hi Jeff,

"I want the truth!" demanded the Lietenant.

"You can't handle the truth!" hollered the Colonel.

It was one of the most dramatic courtroom scenes ever.

Tom Cruise, playing a Navy Lawyer, went after Jack
Nicholson in the movie "A Few Good Men."

But it's also something we need to ask ourselves as
traders.

Do we want the truth about ourselves? Or the more personal
question: Can you handle the truth?

Because the answer to that very intimate question holds
the key... to whether you'll be able to master your
psychological challenges that get in the way of being
a high-profit trader.

As you know, trading goes by the 80/20 rule:

It's 80% psychology, and only 20% trading method.

If you haven't evaluated what's going on inside your
head, if you haven't mastered your inner demons...

It's not your fault!

Many traders shy away from the psychology part, because
it means coming to grips with parts inside each of us
that are not always pleasant.

Sometimes the truth hurts.

Can you handle the truth?

Until you can, you will be limiting yourself. So let
me ask you again:

Can you handle the truth?

Here's a valuable video that challenges you to do
just that:

P.S. - Psychology rules trading, more than method, more
than money management, more than luck. You must deal
with your psychology if you are EVER going to maximize
your profits, so watch the video.

Thanks Patch,

I am always working on my psychology along with my execution.

Thanks for the comment es/pip,

I seem to think that the "markets" are basically a poker game. We have to
practice our skill sets and "create or own luck" by being prepared (which
includes mental prepardness
). Sometimes the cards playout with the odds
and other times there are random events. Such as being took out on the
river :)

Another week in profit....lost count of days but I know I've only had one loser in over 35ish days....have to add it up. back for more 2/25.

I bought the chris lori psychological video's yesterday. watched the six hrs already.
I've watched his pro-traders club forex complete vids (24hrs instruction) all the way through 5x and some sections more than 10x over the last month.

I'm starving for a live mentor.
I'm teaching all i've learned in the skype group....some of them are starting to kick butt too. Their bustin my chops. LOL

Great Job Pro not going "on tilt" and keeping in the game.
Have a good vacation.

Even without a "live" mentor you still have your skype study group
for support.

Focus on what I say about dealing ranges...........

[6:04:22 AM] prochargedmopar: now we talking adeel
[6:04:38 AM] JESGPY: anyone long GU?
[6:04:50 AM] prochargedmopar: yeah +20 atm
[6:05:00 AM] JESGPY: nice i am just +6
[6:05:13 AM] JESGPY: took it on 1m pro?
[6:05:32 AM] prochargedmopar: yup
[6:05:33 AM] JESGPY: what do u think of an EJ short?
[6:05:45 AM] prochargedmopar: adeel is long e/j
[6:06:20 AM] JESGPY: hmmm (like he says)
[6:06:34 AM] JESGPY: now my trigger got screwed up
[6:06:38 AM] JESGPY: so ill wait
[6:07:51 AM] JESGPY: hope we can take 40 or so from this GU
[6:07:58 AM] prochargedmopar: yeah, for me looking at E/J you could have looked for longs 40ish pips lower...but it's sure moving weakly.....kiinda in middle now. I'm not sure looking at h1......you could use some "spacial inteligence" and say, MOMO up/ 50% re-trace and now it's at about 20% retrace after moving from 50%.
[6:08:02 AM] prochargedmopar: what you think
[6:09:00 AM] JESGPY: i need to develop those observation qualities u just mentioned.. so i dont know man.. i just follow my triggers .
[6:09:05 AM] JESGPY: they have been good lately
[6:09:13 AM] prochargedmopar: whew, h4 looks kinda long but daily's...Hmmmm highwave candle, hanging man/dragon fly doji/ and now a spinning top.
[6:09:25 AM] prochargedmopar: hehehehe
[6:09:26 AM] JESGPY: but i need to learn to see how much room y have for my move
[6:09:36 AM] prochargedmopar: let me go to m1 and I can tell you.....LOL
[6:09:39 AM] JESGPY: u make me dizzy
[6:09:56 AM] JESGPY: k
[6:10:26 AM] prochargedmopar: m1 I would wait for definate break of 12 pip dealing range......then re-test to go in that direction.
[6:10:36 AM] prochargedmopar: e/j is basically F'd Atm
[6:11:00 AM] JESGPY: yep ej.. not worth it still
[6:11:29 AM] prochargedmopar: hmmm +27 now on g/u
[6:11:45 AM] Braathen: ej had that big 600 pip drop earlie feb... now its hovering at 50-60% retrace on that
[6:12:02 AM] prochargedmopar: wish I had multiple positions open because it's gonna pull back now....
[6:12:04 AM] prochargedmopar: shoot.
[6:12:07 AM] JESGPY: at what price do we break the 12 pip dealing range pro?
[6:12:23 AM] prochargedmopar: hey, this is swing trade practice, micro lot.
[6:13:50 AM] JESGPY: well price is much nicer to hold
prochargedmopar
[6:15:30 AM] Braathen: really like chris atm pro.. helping me see price action even better

Image
Adeel was long in this pic btw.

[6:15:42 AM] prochargedmopar:Look at the white lines, those are what I'd call dealing ranges.....could be moved a pip or two up and down if you prefer..
[6:16:11 AM] prochargedmopar: looks to be breaking down into lower range....but that doesn't mean it's gonna drop 50 pips....look at all the supports
[6:16:37 AM] JESGPY: k i see.. u draw those ur self ?
[6:16:58 AM] prochargedmopar: yeah, just now to show you...I don't use any, just guess....LOL
[6:17:27 AM] JESGPY: haha ok
[6:18:04 AM] prochargedmopar: yeah, the market is far from exacting.. that's for sure.....see how it stuck it's nose out the bottom....then shot right back up into that little range????????
[6:18:39 AM] JESGPY: yep
[6:18:43 AM] prochargedmopar: if you are wanting to trade LONG, you HAVE to get in on a red candle/down bar, at the bottom of one of those ranges.......you could be taking first profit now and then waiting to see if it breaks out....
[6:18:47 AM] prochargedmopar: with rest of lot.
[6:18:59 AM] prochargedmopar: THAT WORKS ON ALL TIME FRAMES FROM M1 TO INFINITY.
[6:19:12 AM] prochargedmopar: just bigger stops and bigger tp's.....SEE IT?
[6:19:26 AM] Braathen: .... dont say that :P
[6:19:34 AM] prochargedmopar: watch the lori cd's.....that's what I did.
[6:19:43 AM] prochargedmopar: and the market for a year straight.,,hehehe
[6:19:57 AM] Braathen: there brilliant those vids
[6:20:20 AM] prochargedmopar: see how it bounce right back into the range........now gonna test bottom of it again
[6:21:43 AM] prochargedmopar: g/u broke up 10 pips further than I thought it would before the bounce...was looking at e/j.
[6:22:11 AM] prochargedmopar: but actually if you loook left on a m5 chart you can see the supply pivot to left that is much stronger than the one I thought it would bounce at.
[6:23:05 AM] prochargedmopar: that is actually down momo on a m15 chart.
[6:23:17 AM] prochargedmopar: then the next one 10 pips past that is a down momo on a 30m chart
[6:23:36 AM] prochargedmopar: g/u wont get through the 20 line without a battle.
[6:23:52 AM] prochargedmopar: maybe not even the 00, natural resistance and support....LOL
[6:24:36 AM] JESGPY: k thanks for the insights.. ill just have to wait and see
[6:24:40 AM] prochargedmopar: if news comes out you better be looking at h4 and d1 momo.....because this little stuff don't mean crud.....
[6:25:24 AM] prochargedmopar: on a side note.....gu bounce off yLOw, to the PIP.
[6:25:32 AM] JESGPY: news in half hour
[6:25:39 AM] JESGPY: and then another 30m after that one
prochargedmopar
[6:27:33 AM] Vanessa: great explanation pro
[6:27:38 AM] Vanessa: (y);)

Image

[6:27:56 AM] prochargedmopar: you see that white line.....look how price just bounced up off it.....look left!!!!!
[6:28:05 AM] Vanessa: yea is bouncing on the ylow
[6:28:09 AM] prochargedmopar: top of last up move TO THE PIP OF WICK
[6:28:14 AM] JESGPY: that range to the left .. i dont like it
[6:28:26 AM] prochargedmopar: market is so simple it's pathetic......now try to trade it.....LOL
[6:28:31 AM] prochargedmopar: Not so simple
[6:29:21 AM] JESGPY: just tie ur hands after u put ur trade
[6:29:32 AM] prochargedmopar: lol
[6:29:52 AM] prochargedmopar: g/u should break back down into the range it came from because it went up a long ways without taking a breath.
[6:29:56 AM] prochargedmopar: there it goes
[6:30:07 AM] JESGPY: i think u see too much and that makes u nervous
[6:30:18 AM] prochargedmopar: if that area holds though...look out ylow. because your gonna break baby
[6:30:24 AM] prochargedmopar: and i"m gonna get my 50!!!!
[6:30:25 AM] prochargedmopar: lol
[6:30:32 AM] prochargedmopar: saw 30
[6:30:49 AM] prochargedmopar: I'm big pipn' 10 cent swing trader now....LOL
[6:30:55 AM] JESGPY: my break even was taken out shoot
[6:31:15 AM] JESGPY: i wont let +15 turn to a loss
[6:31:30 AM] prochargedmopar: that's ok, they are giving you a better price to enter
[6:31:38 AM] prochargedmopar: now your WANTING it to drop
[6:31:51 AM] JESGPY: hahaha
[6:32:00 AM] JESGPY: ill just see what happens.
[6:32:38 AM] JESGPY: yesturday was taken out at first attempt.. then on next attempy my trade was at +70 at certain point
[6:33:04 AM] JESGPY: and did the same on tuesday
[6:33:07 AM] prochargedmopar: wow
[6:33:09 AM] prochargedmopar: nice
[6:33:11 AM] JESGPY: ill just keep doing the same
[6:33:19 AM] prochargedmopar: I got 61 on it...biggest win in a while live
[6:33:28 AM] prochargedmopar: demo is easy to do that
[6:33:41 AM] JESGPY: thanks man.. if i can do that just twice a week ill be making nice cash soon
[6:33:45 AM] prochargedmopar: drving and typing is a......
[6:33:52 AM] JESGPY: it was live
[6:34:07 AM] JESGPY: haha man ur crazy
[6:34:54 AM] prochargedmopar: all my trades are live since starting....that's the problem..hehehe
[6:35:04 AM] prochargedmopar: I use micros for practice.
[6:35:25 AM] prochargedmopar: look at e/j, if you had long bias it should have been bought at 95 area
[6:35:48 AM] prochargedmopar: now you have to wait for pullback or risk geting stop hit
[6:36:04 AM] prochargedmopar: on retest of breakout area....that's what nooobs do, they chase price
[6:36:11 AM] prochargedmopar: including me...it's hell not too....LOL
[6:36:43 AM] JESGPY: i had an entry around there at 11 gmt
[6:36:51 AM] JESGPY: but i was sleeping
[6:37:29 AM] JESGPY: but now i dont like that price
[6:37:37 AM] JESGPY: i mean buying at that high
[6:38:38 AM] JESGPY: the bad thing of holding is that sometimes just hope it goes and goes..and let pips slip through ur hand
[6:38:42 AM] JESGPY: s
[6:40:53 AM] JESGPY: looks like their undecided where are they goona go
[6:41:08 AM] prochargedmopar: knowing this stuff, could have added to position on g/u and just took some extra profit off table.......
[6:41:28 AM] JESGPY: i do that.. when i have nice pips secured
[6:41:38 AM] JESGPY: add another position and average a break even
[6:41:53 AM] prochargedmopar: hmmmm, I'm not that advanced yet.
[6:42:12 AM] JESGPY: i dont see that as advanced
[6:42:59 AM] JESGPY: when ur +50 u just add another lot.. and place ur sl at +25 of first position.. so if in worst case ur first lot goes -25 ur first goes out +25
[6:43:03 AM] JESGPY: u break even
[6:43:27 AM] prochargedmopar: hmmmmmm
[6:43:44 AM] Braathen: id rather take off at 50 tbh :P special since we are ranging alot atm
[6:43:52 AM] JESGPY: when the trade runs far away that make ur account grow fat!
[6:44:18 AM] prochargedmopar: yeah, take profit ,wait for small corrrection and re-eter...like M.O.
[6:44:24 AM] prochargedmopar: thats' my goal
[6:44:35 AM] Braathen: yup.. thats how i like to do it.. exit.. wait for better price,... get back in
[6:44:35 AM] JESGPY: i should have done that
[6:44:53 AM] JESGPY: now GU going back up
[6:45:09 AM] prochargedmopar: do you see how it dipped into previous r esistance.....
[6:45:16 AM] prochargedmopar: became support
[6:45:34 AM] prochargedmopar: now testnig for breakout of trading range.
[6:45:42 AM] JESGPY: yep
[6:45:58 AM] prochargedmopar: could have taken profit here and then leave some to see if it goes to next level.
[6:46:08 AM] JESGPY: yep
[6:46:17 AM] JESGPY: well i am back in..
[6:46:18 AM] JESGPY: lets see
[6:46:21 AM] prochargedmopar: always take profit....lori says NEVER give back a 30 pip mov e in market.....
[6:46:35 AM] JESGPY: yep its just plain stupid
[6:46:37 AM] prochargedmopar: hope it was from bottom of range.
[6:47:05 AM] JESGPY: not really but.. i am already positive
[6:47:45 AM] JESGPY: i hope GU flies!
[6:47:51 AM] prochargedmopar: only going to 20 max unless news pushes it through.......
[6:47:54 AM] prochargedmopar: look left
[6:48:26 AM] JESGPY: yep i see it
[6:48:57 AM] prochargedmopar: maybe 30 max i'd say.
[6:54:48 AM] prochargedmopar: SEE now, buying the high of a range is NEVER a good idea.
[6:54:59 AM] JESGPY: nop
[6:55:17 AM] prochargedmopar: now you hope that 90ish holds, bottom of range
[6:55:38 AM] prochargedmopar: could go back to my entry of 75 easy
[6:55:46 AM] prochargedmopar:I'd be zeroed out.....LOL
[6:55:49 AM] JESGPY: i try not to hope
[6:55:59 AM] Adeel: hmmm
[6:56:08 AM] prochargedmopar: yeah, but it's only nartural.
[6:56:27 AM] prochargedmopar: saw 30 adeel
[6:56:36 AM] JESGPY: yeah but.. its not good ..
[6:56:39 AM] prochargedmopar: didn't have any to take off....lol
[6:56:39 AM] Adeel: lol
[6:56:45 AM] Adeel: i took half off EJ
[6:56:47 AM] JESGPY: i mean if we can we should not hope
[6:57:02 AM] prochargedmopar: doh

Pro, Ive got mentors and they are a) awesome, and b) screamingly frustrating.

But thats the point, they ask painful questions until "head knowledge" becomes "heart knowledge".

Your mentor need not be a trader, but they must be successful in life, wether that be sport, business, church or whatever. They must have the lifestyle you desire. They do not need, or want, to hold your hand while you do what you do but they will be a true friend. By which I mean they truly wish to see you succeed and grow and be the best you can be. (in my mind anyone who does not want this for me is not and can not be a friend, they are only an acquaintance. I believe I have friends in this forum, even though I have never met them or exchanged more than a couple of sentences with them)

You probably have people in your life already that fit the bill, you just need to have the guts to ask- and to be humble enough to accept that they may say no, and do not need to explain their rejection knowing that you know they will still support your endeavours.

Good Luck finding a Mentor,
G
