We might just have to create a thread for "How To Make Sucky PnF Charts More Challenging..."

Okay... but the rules are that you are not allowed to use DOP or CC's

Cause really, this is just ridiculous...

DOP :smt023

I haven't figured out how to use the 3xCC PnF yet.

I turned on the box columns with the 3 x CC and studied it.

I am wondering if we need to re-engineer how it combines/draws?

I don't have a clue how to actually use it. (I have studied how you guys use them for combining candles and understand the concept...)

Feel free to mark up some 3 x CC PnF how you are using it.

Even more confusing for me was 3 x Lines. :)

So far I have just been combining discretionary

The way you use 3xCC on a time chart is the same way you use it on a P&F chart...

COMPARISONS.

Well I'm busy getting a handle on it... use another donational called 3Xcc LIS to get a timer of which CC will close next (although the time wont be accurate you'll atleast know which one will close next). combine it with the fractals indi and you'll see some interesting things... manly along the lines of support and resistance... as well as MOMO obviously

[edit] - oh yeah totally MO :)

I thought it was more for determining leader/follower but to me that can easily get thrown off...

I'll look at it some more with COMPARISON in mind...

Have you guys actually studied the 3 x CC with the background boxes/columns on to see how the CC's relate to the actual boxes and how it is drawing them?

It was when I did that, that things didn't make sense. With the PnF boxes removed and all you see is CC's then it looks interesting...but I'm wondering if it's for the wrong reasons?

It will measure the price level at each box close... which is the same as the time based indi... so as soon as a new PnF candle gets generated then another is closed...

The CC alternate in a green red green red pattern just like P&F

The CC close on a column change.

Together, the CC should represent the single period & you can see this by looking at the close order (green, red, green)

3xCC can be used on ticks to analyze tick data, end of day spread quotes, MA's, you name it.
