Yes, you can buy/sell whenever you want. If you see profit, TAKE IT!

Same Trade, But one came out a winner, another- a loser (me)
entered according to rules, but had a 22 pip spike against me at that very moment which stopped me out, and then price continued to drop :(

you and your boxes...

Postby razorboy » Tue Jun 09, 2009 11:35 am

figuring out this riddle is what is holding me back!!!

First box - shows the biggest correction ( biggest advance that returned to its low - biggest retrace of the uptrend - and bounced) in the uptrend and the time - 7 bars

next box is 7 bars as well

In the counter trend, you are looking for price to fall below the low of the biggest correction in the uptrend, within the same amount of time that the correction took to complete itself...........

correction to the below

Reversal when price does not return to high within the same amount of time as the largest correction within the previous trend.

Largest (and only) correction in the uptrend was 7 hours

After a new high, price fell and did not correct within that same time frame - go short

bar counting......

Postby razorboy » Tue Jun 09, 2009 2:35 pm

MO,

In the most recent run up on the EUR/US it looks like there are two potential box areas that could be considered correction - where price fell
one of 3 bars (2 actually - right next to each other and one of 6 bars

I think I may be answering my own question based on follow up price action, but which of these boxes (or neither - you could argue that price never came completely back down) would you use to judge your entry for the reversal trade.

3 bar box

6 bar box

or were neither of them good boxes ?
