For one...if there is any concerns with indicators...email MC with the indicators and they will sort it out. THe customer service is excellant.

Try that with the big TS...they will include it in a FUTURE update... :)

TRO GridIron & Assorted TRO Stuff

Postby traderxman » Wed Feb 14, 2007 5:17 pm

MultiCharts (which I have NO affiliation) has their latest software update...seems like they listen and FIX things rather than like the Big TS...in this pic you will note...

THe GridIron...which I like very much and the concept of slot machine indicators...also a fav...then the slope of a favorite one of mine...many thanks to the time of TRO...who IS truly a great friend of the trader!!!

Note in the chart how the GridIron shows a double top (indicating buyers losing control) and the lights go red with the slope crossing zero for 2 small trades...but none the less profitable.

Very simple ideas here at work.

I would like to buy the TRO's ebook...but I do not use credit cards...e-gold anyone?

MultiCharts questions

Postby Patch » Thu Feb 15, 2007 11:13 pm

TraderXman

One thing I agree completely with TRO is that backtesting is a near waste of time and that how you manage your trades make all the difference in results. I read static charts pretty well, though that all goes out the window once I sit and watch chart formations live. There is no substitute for live trading and screen time with money on the line. NONE.

Does Multicharts offer a product equivalent to Radarscreen? If so what is your experience with it?

What is the data feed source?

Can EFXGroup feed be fed into Multicharts?

How long have you been using MC and what do you particularly like about it, and what if any short comings do you see?

In a recent post, it mentioned several processes continued after shutting down the program. Do you think this is spyware or malware of some sort?

Second topic, are you be willing to share your improvements to TRO PMSM TREND by posting the code?

Thanks for your thoughts,
Jeff in VA

MultiCharts is a better Tradestation

Postby khalid » Wed Mar 14, 2007 2:52 pm

Hi Everyone!

Just joined krelisk.com -- this is a wonderful forum.

I paid $400 for MultiCharts last year. By 2 February 2007, I just wanted to trash it. Then a new BETA came out 3 February 2007 and put me at ease.

Now I think the MultiCharts is just about the best purchase I have ever made.

The technical support is -- and has always been -- beyond-the-call-of-duty EXCELLENT.

Moreover, this is a very promising, Easy Language compatible, product.

But please be mindful that it is still an under development software and some desirable features shall only become available in due course of time.

By the way, there are two FX versions as well.

All who treasure Easy Language, but can't stand the TradeStation bullying must visit: www.tssupport.com

Good luck.

Khalid

Khalid

Thanks for your post on MC. I've pretty much decided to buy Neo Ticker and am still wondering if Multcharts has a radar feature as TS? Can the forex fed from EFX Group be fed into it also?

Thanks

Jeff,

For FX, MCFX is probably a better option than MultiCharts. I have not checked MCFX, but MultiCharts has no Radar Screen yet.

I have sent your two queries to TSSupport, and shall post a proper reply as soon as I get their response.

Jeff,

This is the TSSupport reply:

"We are planning to implement a customized quote page that will work in a similar way as TradeStation RadarScreen."

Not very comprehensive, I am afraid. However, please feel free to email them at support@tssupport.com.

My guess is MCFX Radar is at least 6 months away.
