Risk: Roughly $2.40
Target: PP ($5 and some change)

Entry: Not pretty, but based off previous candle close in opposite color (hourly). Got in a little earlier than the wick break though.

Still at work so phone entry. Image file is too large, so reason is cropped.

Pretty is overrated, lol.

Oh and it's the fact that you have written on the image that messes up the posting.

I have given up putting even the smallest of notes on, as I always get the dreaded yellow triangle. Take the note off, all good. Pain in the butt.

Excuse the photo. Screen shot taken from phone of Remote Desktop. Circled is new day PP, had open a sell earlier to fade it.

Pair: USDCHF
Risk: 2.50
Reward: 6.53

Pair gapped at open. Didn’t want to risk leaving pips on the table, exited at that gap open.

Question, I'm running the Price Analyzer. I want to see candle open above pivot. From there, I want the low compared to S1 for the timeframe chosen (4hr on picture).

I attached my pivot indicator and it shows S1 crossed more times even though price travel analyzer shows 0%. I've attached a picture of what I mean as well as the code.

Does the code have to be (2*PP) - b_high

Pretty much the parenthesis is missing. I did try it and it still shows 0%.

I did 50 bars. When I do 1000 only 1 bar meets criteria of Low LE S1.

No. * gets evaluated before -.

Also, need to see chart to see the error. Better yet, send your template to me. And tell me which pair.

Hope everyone is having a great year. Pivots are still my main bread and butter. Always improving and finding out more interested things. I came across a possible Wick Zone profit taking zone. Using S1 and R1 and previous Low/High. The stats are also in the 70%+ Range. Pretty much, if S1 or R1 are outside the previous low/high, then at the break of the high, price tends to continue above R1 or below S1. I'll see how it turns out. Also, comparing brokers time, Brokers that use a Sunday candle, lower the probability of daily Pivot Point being hit. Most likely the Sunday Candle and Monday candle PP since those two days would have different PP compared to a broker who doesn't use the Sunday Candle.

Not sure if many would agree that a pivot fade is a "missed pivot" but for me, If the current daily pivot hasn't been hit, it's open season for the "missed pivot" to be hit. Here's my trade for today, was able to stack two extra positions on a "pull back". Here we see what I mentioned on my previous post. R1 lines (for the high) out side of yesterdays HOD, make for excellent wick zone targets. Currently for my pivot fades, to increase my RR to at least a 2:1 (not huge on RR but 2RR would be fantastic), I'm noticing that waiting for price to break the previous HOD/LOD and if it stays within R1/S1, and the pivot has been missed, there's a great chance that the daily pivot will be crossed. Stop loss placement can be R2 or S2 or even R3/S3 (too large for me).

Here's USDJPY as well. Same idea, I was in this trade but I got out since I had too many opened positions and I wanted to sleep. I was also in USDCHF, same thing.

With all these missed pivots trades, and using the price travel analyzer to really understand price and what price has done in the past over n days, I've noticed the "Z-line" trades happening. I have tried reading MO's stuff but starting from the beginning of his posts to the recent ones has been a challenge. Nonetheless, in my nature to dumb down his explanation to a sentence, I've come up with "Price likes to take out highs and lows" Using Highs and lows as targets, not entries, might be useful. Using pivot points as a bias, I've seen price break the previous HOD/LOD (as the two examples before) only to have price create a range in asia, break it in London, "trapping" breakout trades from that range, then moving back into the range, past the opposite side, and continue to a point (in my case the missed pivot), creating a LOD, moving back to "Zero" out B/E traders, and even traders who entered on the other side of the range.

This on an intraday scale, which is currently my goal to be able to achieve faster account growth. My tf used is 15min, 5min, and 1min. Pivots are my bias and clumsily stacking into my pivot target is my hobby.

With the stacking, I'm trying to understand the lines MO talks about, maybe I can understand it better in the near future.
