I placed orders to close the position and they wouldn't close. Today was just crazy. I just need to forget about it. Worked hard from last night to this morning to make about 200 pips. My best stretch ever. This error caused me to go on tilt and ended up losing a ton. I had many opportunities to make it back but held the positions for too long and due to the volatility I ended up losing. Lessons learned I guess.

I heard of people having problems liquidating positions typically at the close of the NY session with MB.

What time did you have this problem?

much earlier than the close. I think it was due the the speed and volatility of the market or at least that is the excuse that I got. They are unwilling to make me whole.

Trading is like cycling, first you need to learn how.
Two options: you either lose or win!

Rumour has it that a trader sold $16 billion of e-mini's instead of $16 million and that's what caused the movement, apparently!

Lol! Wish I had some of those pips. Sat on the sideline as it looks way too hectic for me. I am relaxing at the moment just watching the movement while having a smoke.

Missed all the excitement... sleeping :)

edit: I dont believe that some one could "accidentally" short 1,000,000,000 instead of 1,000,000

No worries. I am more upset at myself for going on tilt. I can't do that again. But thanks. I feel better that I let it out because it might take am some time to tell my wife
