Of the other options - and there are a few - I don't think I'm going to be sitting up for them. It's already just coming up for 01:00 here. If - and it's a big if - I can be bothered, it may be worthwhile setting up orders for those that show a bias. Maybe.

Here's one that could fit the bill...

'Morning all.

Some interesting observations from and thoughts about last night's venture out into the Buy Zone but as I haven't even looked at a new trade this morning, I'll get back to it later.

For now, just a hi-and-bye and back later.

Trade well, folks.

Right, I've got a half hour before I need to check the charts again for anything meaningful, so here's my musings on The Buy Zone stuff from last night.

First off, the one posted above - CJ - came good, though it took it's own sweet time.

As noted above, I had it as Long only due to price being in a major Demand Zone and so ignored the fact that the Weekly Open was wrong. EDIT: - Talking s***...the Weekly Open was correct for this, trading away from it (it's out of picture but it's there).

Closed at 08:43 UK time this morning. +2

Elsewhere, I had looked at and noted:

AJ, AN, UJ, NJ.

AJ Short Bias Hit target.

Now, for the sake of clarity and KISS here, I have not considered the S+D in any of these when looking for bias, only the fact that I will be looking to trade away from the Weekly Open.

This is counter-intuitive big-style to me, as I place a lot of weight on S+D, even down at the H1 tf...and as you can see, if I had considered the zones, then it would have had an impact across the board.

However, these are just musings for now, so we'll leave it there (I did however stack the deck in the one I took live, as both Weekly Open and S+D were in alignment).

Soooooooooooooo...

On top of these, I had a small thought: What red news was there due today? Turns out GBP, EUR and USD all flagged red.

So I wanted to see what happened with EURUSD, GBPUSD and EURGBP.

Turns out, this happened...

EU would have been Long Bias, with no S+D influence and that would have bagged.

GU also Long Bias and had a slight S+D weight behind that call as well. I certainly wouldn't have gone Short.

EG again, Long Bias all off the back of the Weekly Open, with no S+D involvement.

Interesting.

May be something, may be nothing.

We'll see.

(Oh and I have not considered any re-entries as the day unwinds...yet :P )

Hope youyouyou was on board the UC Dead Zone ride today. Well worth the effort!

As for me, I trucked on with EJ. I won't pretend that there was any deep and meaningful analysis in the choice, more like there was nothing else that really fit and I had thirty seconds before the off to make a decision...and in the end, I got on purely because the Zone set up at the upper limit of the ADR.

Boom Shakalaka!

Dead Zone EJ Short Bias

Hi Lem !

I am a little bit confused about the DZ time settings.
It´s probably because of the summer time.

Since the switch to summer time my time is now GMT +2
New York should be GMT -4

So wouldn´t be the DZ the break of the 6-7 AM bar and therefor 1 bar earlier (the white candle)?

Have a good one
Tom

It may very well be. Time zone shifts always melt my brain a little, especially when every second broker seems to have their own offset.

What I will say is that I am pretty sure I counted back the correct number while checking against present time in NY.

I used to come up against this all the time with The Frankenbreak and it got so muddled that in the end I just left the b***** indicator as it was on the chart the year round - and you know what? It made absolutely no difference whatsoever over the course of a year.

I will double check for you though.

Nope, just checked. The chart is correct.

For me, US Open is at 13:00 uk time, so...
Dead Zone is 12:00 - 13:00.
On that chart, the DZ is the first of the down candles before the candle that spikes up and through.

Right, just noticed what you've probably seen - that the time tags on the indicator are showing 11:00. Ignore that, I do. It's to do with whatever that particular broker's offset is - I don't check and don't care. It's only for charting.

I go by whatever the actual time is I see on a (world) clock right in front of me and whatever candle matches up at that time, Bob's y'er Auntie's Husband, I align the indicator on it.
