GBPUSD H4 Short move.

Detail. (Note that I have moved the micro-fib down to the new low now.)

Also note that we have already had a reaction to the Z-Line that formed.

Looks like a few strategies could of made money on that move short. I got about 30 pips off the H1.

Exactly.

As I said somewhere above, this can of course be used as a method in its own right, however do not underestimate its usefulness as a grand overview and giver of directional bias for use in other methods.

Because of the way I work, you can guarantee that I will have methods layered over one another.

Well done on the +30!

That drop, measured from the Z-Line has gone for a max of around +70 so far.

Good morning All !

Lem, if you use several methods at the same time do you place a H4 trade with Account/Broker #1 and a lower TF trade or scalp with Account/Broker #2?

I tried to look up a brief explanation about Z-Lines, but there are so many hits using the search button so maybe Lem or someone else could explain them or point in the right direction from where I can read & learn about them?

Yes, usually. I have two main accounts and another couple of smaller ones I use for experiments and quickies.

There are a couple of slight variations on the theme of Z-Lines, however for me, a Z-Line is formed when momentum breaks a level set to the left and extends out to the right from that level.

It can be one candle (preferred) or an overall move.

We then look for price to return to that level and either test and fail (and then continue in the direction of the original momentum) or close over and return (in the opposite direction to the original momo move).

Nominally, this is getting ready for a new signal - however as (a) it's Friday, (b) POTUS is due to speak in the next half hour, (c) rig count is due and (d) did I mention it's Friday!!!, so it's not going to tempt me.

I'll certainly keep an open mind and pay attention to where it's sitting on Monday but till then, nah.

Ah, what the h***...took something anyway :P

Actually going against the potential Short signal coming but it was lined up nicely for a scalp here. A fraction late as I didn't have the screen open and ready but still ok and took +4.7 so happy with that.

GBPUSD T-60 Chart +4.7

Man, that earlier move around 14:20...that would have sent me into the weekend a very happy bunny indeed.

Oh well. I'll take what I got and smile.
