Just a couple questions

Postby strangeone » Mon May 04, 2009 10:01 pm

TRO
Thanks for all the hard work you do to pimp up our mt4's. :)

just a couple quick questions. First is it possible to modify your Range indicator to just show current and then average for 5, 15 and say 30 previous candles? But still make it usable on any TF.
I think that would be great and at least for me more usable.

Second
Have you ever thought about programming a Delta Phen. indicator?
Would be interested in discusing it if you have/haven't if your willing.

Again Extreme thanks for everything.

I think I wrote a range dashboard.

Delta Phen... No.

Thanks for the reply. I've been googleing and haven't found a ranged dashboard but I'll keep looking. I may not have looked hard or far enough. (Unless it's one of your thanks indicators?)

I'd love to put together something for Deltas.
Have you ever tried it.
It works on statistics.
Deltas are statistical points taken from a long range of data.

They are very interesting.

Have a good one TRO

Again thanks

For interested in Delta Phenomen, here are the links to 2 major works
by Welles Wilder:

The Delta Phenomenon or The hidden order in all markets

New Concepts in Technical Trading Systems

Passwords to zip-archives are
delta2

In my opinion, "The Delta Phe..." book doesn't worth its price of
$175, but second book is much more close to reality
(it has several well described trading systems,
which I haven't tried yet) - take into account, that "New concepts"
was written far away in 1978, when there were no online trading,
charts, computers, etc.

According to these threads
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=20&page=2
http://forums.babypips.com/free-forex-t ... -data.html
the concept of Delta trading is really complex & controversial,
however some people found some merit in it.

P.S. If someoone could point me to book or video course
"The Market Matrix" by Steve Copan
(actual implementation of Delta phenomen trading),
it will benefit my (& others) trading books collection,
and I was hunting for this famoust book
for ages without any luck.

I've used delta's, I personally think they are great.
They are not as complex as many make them out to be and they are great at predicting.

But to fine tune the system you need a good programmer who can process lot's of #'s, because it's all based on statistics.

The book is very dull and missing in information.

Have a great day all.

Don't get me wrong, the book is important, but you need to read between the lines and figure out for your self what the book dosen't tell you.

That is unless you join Wilders Delta group.

I look at it much like a treasure hunt.
Once you have found the delta's they never change. So once you have the info you are set for life.
I've have data for some pairs but no enough data and not as accurate as I would like.
I have in mind to work on the e/u data for the daily tf charts.
I prefer the larger tf I know many like the 1mn or 5mn but for me that's just too stressfull.
But it would be great as the data is put together if some sort of indicator could be put together to plot the deltas automaticly on the chart.

Well anyway, I'm just ramboling.

Have a great one, happy trading
