Re: Journey of the ES - Wannalearn12
I was out-and-about most of the day and came in just too late to think about getting on the Flip.
I did see it play out and there would have been a fail Short (assuming you didn't have any Long-Bias), then as usual in these cases, the reverse break to the outside went big.

Didn't trade The Flip today. It did flip but it was a tiny set-up candle and very, very, little movement all day.
On top of that, I didn't do much moving of my own all day, as it was a Bank Holiday in the UK today.
Anyway, just for the record, here's how it looked...

Edit: Lem, are you still trading FX currency pairs? Not just today but in general.

Hi Leo,
Yes, I trade FX as well. Usually through my Dead Zone method.
I also run HOLO and 1-2-3 on whatever pairs sit up and beg.
If I'm twiddling my thumbs, I will scalp m1, again on the most standout pair of the day.

Today's Flip played out well.
TBH I wasn't sure what kind of move might be coming but it just goes to show, trust the method.

No Flip for The Flip tonight. Took a head-fake inside and then moved into a full-on break long.
This meant a small counter trade and then cleared on the move North.
I should perhaps have ignored the move short looking at the shape of the Daily and H4 candles. If anything suggested momo, it was those candles, lol.

Re: Journey of the ES - Wannalearn12
Tonight's Flip was a bit of a hybrid move.
There had been a good, solid, push North for a few hours and that would have suggested we'd have a High break.
Well, took forever to do anything, however the break did eventually come, albeit at a snail's pace. What I was watching for was the limit of the Supply Zone close above (m30 tf) and sure enough, the break came to nothing.
Price touched the edge of the zone (dotted blue line) and then stalled.
I went in on a double-strength short to play that bounce and off it went. The original long was closed out and I let the short drop away, taking on the WZ trade trigger as well as it went.
All-in-all, came good.

Re: Journey of the ES - Wannalearn12
As it's Friday, you never expect much - which is just as well, as nothing much is what we'd have got.
I wasn't here to see this, so you have to take my word on it but I wouldn't have been interested in this set-up at all. The candle was small, it was inside the Upper Daily Wick Zone and there was no additional info to help at all.
Plus, you know...it's Friday.
