Because the market is not predictable in the exactness it will move, I believe that a risk:reward ratio can be a fallacy in its commonly used idea.

If you are placing your take profit by figuring out what your stop loss is and multiplying it by 2 or whatever number, you will basically be in hope mode once the orders are put into play.

To be successful you will need a better understanding of market structure, average or median ranges during timeframes, and some statistics would help when placing the take profit.

If you discover an appropriate place to place your TP then you go forward with that trade as long as it fits your risk:reward model.

In the end you really don't know where the market will move.
Trade Your Way as Long as It Makes Money!

Smaller Zs create bigger Zs around the “same line”.

My guess is because that is where fresh orders are that create the order flow dynamic. Anything else and its changed. Why does it sometimes work? Probably because if you plop a line anywhere you'll see reactions. Again, I don't know. Ask MO when he steps off the pulpit.

Once you get to 32 then you check a larger chart and if you get to 32 again then you check an even larger chart: if you find what you are looking for in 1 bar then stop at one bar; 32 is just a stop that that says "hey buddy, I think that what you are looking for is up there".

When I briefly discussed fractals I talked about people who look for a specific thing vs people who 'know it when they see it': like falling into random holes and wondering why one time it produced a baby and the other time it did not vs 'knowing it when you see it'.

Why did it work one time and not the other? Because there was a distinction that you could not recognize.

A distinction as price above or below the midpoint?
Thanks MO

On a D1 it’s just a wick, but how do we know that it’s not a 50% BO on a smaller tf?

50% breakout? Any sane person is going to be taking profit after a drop like that.

Why do you confuse yourself like you don't know how to trade?

The methods (current, not retro) are so easy that one cannot screw it up;
I don't care if he has down syndrome, he is going to get it right.

Sell where you see selling.
Buy where you see buying.
Take profit where you see profit taking (50%ish &| where you see buying/selling)

Large chart price level (where do you see B/S?), close over said level, close over that new level, ...
Now you are at your trade chart: risk lines and make lines (+2 or 3, increase size, repeat*8, ..., MN is red, hold short)

Thanks MO

i'm not on the older posts, but my mind can't forget nla.
BTW everything i'm trading is from the 'new view'.

I made a pic explaining exactly what i'm seeing.. and i assure you that i don't know where i'm wrong.
