Re: How to be a MOnster
Gotta ask again,
Whats your definition of Momentum.
It appears in this pic that its a colorchange of two candles?
Do you draw them that way live?

It always takes Momentum to break Momentum!

Hi Doji!
I don't know if it's a definition but I'm looking for fast moves, large candles closing over the breakout point.
Then I look for an opposite momentum bar closing over the origin of the first move.
I draw the same lines live but I never feel confident with what I do

ok, fast moves, breakout point meaning the high or low?
Does the opposite momentum bar have to have its own breakoutpoint or is it the origin of the up momentum breakout point?
You will understand later why im pushing this to be defined.

Re: How to be a MOnster
one more point.
Take me out of the equation for a moment. Notice how Tro, has a defined rat entry. A defined wick zone, a defined missed pivot???

I'm using a base (a little top/bottom) as a breakout point, for the opposite momentum I'm using the up momentum origin.
(I'm feeling stupid now because it's not making sense in my head now )
Btw no problem Doji, I have everything to learn from you and the other guys here! Thank you!

Re: How to be a MOnster
No need to feel stupid, we have all been where you are.
The importance of defining it is to be able to spot it the same way all the time. Not saying it will work, but if its defined the same way all the time and it doesnt work 50 percent plus of the time, well then you know somethings wrong. Results wont change without a definition change.
Remember when it used to be said, momentum is 2x the size of the previous body? I used to hate that. It was a general rule. What alot of traders dont think about is the essence of PA. Its being defined by a time chart and chart type. When we change the time frame, everything changes. It can be so confusing to new and old traders alike. the 2x body size was right less than 40 percent of the time. It wasnt intended to be a method, but thats how I took it back in the day. There are alot of Momentum traders here at KR. Im just trying to get you guys to see a consistant better way. Is it the only way, no, but it turned my trading around almost overnight.

Im working thru the definition under my thread to make it easier to track for followers.

Thank you much for your help!
I'm trying to forget 2x bars and I'm trying to think out of the box, as you said some day ago.
I can't wait to read your posts, what you're doing is much appreciated.
