It is a GO 10:20 pm EST

Long EU 1.4950

Target +7

Stop 1.4940 -10 (for now) will raise it when price goes a few pips up

Note: Look at the 1 minute chart and see how many candles there stopped one pip above the support line - rejection for a bounce up, I took the break of 1.4950

UPDATE: Trade moved in my favor for 7 pips, I was holding for more - after the great entry, but I moved my stop up when it went up and still closed out +3 pips.

I am really wanting a long down around 30 area.

Screen I watch

Postby monarch » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:20 am

Okay, figured I would start with the basics, my screenshot.

I have the same setup on my desktop and laptop, many times I also have the 1 minute chart overlapping the hour once I get the signal a trade is forming.

I have several other charts for the 1 minute, and some lower time frames, but those are not as important.

I will post some trade pics soon.

Cheers

EU 1 Hour Chart

Postby monarch » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:26 am

This is the EU Hourly Chart.

You can see were in the Green (Buy Zone) presently, which could take us up, or we could dip lower still.

I have the next Short or Long areas marked on this chart in Magenta to show the areas of importance to me.

I have already longed the EU on a 15 min signal, but exited early for small profits.

Price is pretty dead right now, and has been for that past 2 hours, so what I want is a good move to hit these areas and then ATTACK Triggers.

GU Hourly Chart

Postby monarch » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:41 am

The GU has risen nicely and has a retracement to the previous high
(Magenta line shows the previous area and the support the past few hours)

I am looking for shorts in the 1.6819 to 1.6844 zone.

I guess the best way to summarize my trading is Patience, Entry, Exit quick with profits, Small stops.

I have had a couple losses the past few weeks, so perfection is important, and if I have to wait an hour, so be it, or if I just miss the trade there will be others along the way.

The GU Hourly just gave the signal to LOOK FOR SHORTS GU.

This is the first stage of entry, once I see an alert, I will look over the charts to see if it is a good area to trade, for this move to 1.6819 is just the beginning of the short zone for me, I prefer higher entry, if it comes, I will snag it, if it doesn't then let it go without me, and I will pick the long on the next alert.

GU 1 Min Chart

Postby monarch » Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:50 am

Okay, now I know where I want to trade based on the Hourly Buy/Sell Zone, I start to watch the 15 min and the 1 min chart.

I have the two areas marked on the 1 min chart here and will give more up close views if the trade forms before I fall asleep.

Cheers

UPDATE: Look at the 1 minute chart, price has stalled at 1.6823 for 6 straight candles, will mark this area for now, new hourly in 3 minutes.

GU Short

Postby monarch » Tue Nov 17, 2009 5:27 am

Based on the Hourly Sell Zone, I took short based on the 1 min, here is the trade in the beginning stage - I am still in the trade now, watching with tight stop.

NOTE: 1.6823 was that resistance I pointed out, now were watching on this drop, will it break below, soon to see.

GU Short Exit

Postby monarch » Tue Nov 17, 2009 5:54 am

Price tapped the target area paying me out the expected profits.

Here is the second chart showing the trade.

You can see I had a STOP waiting if price broke high, and a limit waiting for the 1.6819 area.

Cheers, and good night.

GU - Looking through the Frank/London, price rose above my 1.6844 area to 1.6871 for final resistance and has dropped down to 1.6754.

I am away today and will not be trading until late Asia.

Cheers and good trading to all.
