Is it really possible (I mean - practicable) to trade 1 minute chart?

Greetings noone22, to answer that, yes, all things are possible.

If you will take a look at my screen pic, the first post on page 14, you will see I have the 15min charts.
I monitor those charts as price nears the daily high/low and when I see a #3 form, I simply switch to a 1min chart to get a closer look for stall of price and entry.

I have friends that trade the 1 tick and make great profits, I spent a year watching 1 tick, even 16th of 1 tick.

It is all in the eye of the trader, learn the pair you trade, and you can start to see setups over and over.

Cheers,

Monarch

Thank you.
I need to have a closer look.
Usually I'm using two different time-frames for
signals confluence.
Never used 1M time-frame before.

It could be red candle over there,
while candle is green on M15 chart -
and this the reason for my caution.

That is true, I am basing the trade on 15 min setup, the 1 min will just be used for entry, I usually do not trade the 1 min alone.

I will put a few charts up here today to show what I am looking at.

Cheers,

UJ 15 min chart

Postby monarch » Tue Dec 01, 2009 1:27 am

Okay, here is the 15 min chart that formed in ASIA monday evening

7:15 pm (EST) price hits the high of daily and a #3 forms on the chart.

It is here I watch the 1 min chart to see if that is going to hold.

UJ Setup

Postby monarch » Tue Dec 01, 2009 2:47 am

After I posted that last chart, I walked away from the charts not liking the market for today.

I had shown a 15min setup with a #3 forming, but it was in the beginning of ASIA session, which is too soon to take sides.

So I returned to my desk to see that price took off upwards nicely, and the #3 probably moved on every 15 min candle until the the last stall appeared.

I took 1 entry, then realized HEY, this is a great setup so I entered another entry 1 pip higher.

I took more then 7 pips this time, +10 pips and +9 pips.

Here are the 15 min and 1 min chart.

Cheers,
