The green number is Long Pip Profit = High - Long Trigger. If < 0 then price never hit the long trigger.

The red number is Short Pip Profit = Short Trigger - Low. If < 0 then price never hit the short trigger.

RANGE is key to the Buy Zone trades.

You need H1 AVERAGE RANGE.

Normally, I use a MA(960).

But look at what happened the last 24 hours:

* Maximum Hourly Range: 53 pips
* Minimum Hourly Range: 13 pips
* Average Hourly Range: 25.62 pips
* Current Hourly Range: 19 pips

The Buy Zone is 8 pips wide.

25 - 8 = 17 pips outside the Buy Zone.

The worst possible average case, is 8.5 pips above and below the Buy Zone. Since we only need a gross 6 pips, we win.

13 - 8 = 5 pips outside the Buy Zone.

The worst possible minimum case, is 2.5 pips above and below the Buy Zone. If you broker is EFX Group, you can bail at 2 pips and still make money.

Buy Zone Screen

Postby pdean123 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 11:17 pm

Avery,
Why does my Buy Zone screen have this in the upper corner rather than what I see on the screens in this foruma?

General Buy Zone questions

Postby pdean123 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 11:21 pm

Avery,

1. My Buy Zone doesn't show the vertical hour line. Is this because the market is closed?
2. Does the hour line automatically reset every hour.

Earlier Quote question

Postby pdean123 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 11:34 pm

Avery,
In an earlier quote you said, "The bid usually matches the (word left out I think) on EFX. When it does not, then that is usually a heads up the market is going to move up. Use it to your advantage."
1. What is the missing word?
2. Can you explain a little more what you are saying for a "dummy."

This is what I am working on - a P/L SCOREBOARD for the Buy Zone!

This will update in real time so you can know what the score is.

I'll probably need to test it for a week or so to make sure it is keeping score correctly. When it's ready, I'll send it to all who made donations.

That is the regular Buy Zone not the one for "dummies".

1) That version doesn't have the vertical line.

2) Yes, it does.
