In terms of British Standard Time, is 7 am the London open?

Thank you 4x=0.

But the FXMarketHours, I gather, has a built-in flaw: it does not account for day light savings adjustments during summers. For instance:

it says EST is GMT-5, when in fact it is GMT-4;
and CET is GMT+1, when in fact it is GMT+2!

I suppose you will need to compensate by using the pull down menu and changing your timezone by one hour.

I am currently GMT +1 but I have now set my zone to GMT +2. It is indeed 11am just as the red line indicates. And I believe the London session began 2 hours ago.

Oh, I would know what to do. However, such knowledge does not absolve OANDA. Moreover, (based on FX tick volumes) I should think the London currency trading starts at 7 am and goes on until 4:59 pm. FXMarketHours would have one believe it starts 8 am.

I no longer trade forex; so the interest is just academic and I raise points so kreslic.com participants may have the correct information -- in case I am wrong, provided by whoever knows more than I do.

Buy Zones are plotted based on market openings and not tick volumes. However if it interests you to research a buy zone plotted where you think currency trading begins, please post your results in this thread, for the others.

If anybody is *really* having trouble determining market opens, please refer to the above link or use google.com

Hi 4x=0,
I know that TRO trades $trillion one hour before market close. Is this the same or do you use the actual market open. That is one hour away from $trillion. Hope this makes sense.
