Here is my chart, hard to do when mad.

Alias, nice trading regardless.

How do you draw those short red lines. Mine go from side to side of the chart. Searched for suggestions and they were to double click on horizontal line, right click on properties and unchreck ray. Mine does not have a ray to uncheck. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

draw a trend line

right click it

trend line properties

parameters

uncheck ray

I think I know what's happening gfg1

When you draw the horizontal lines, they aren't level anymore possibly because your line is attaching itself to high lows open close whatever

Do this > go to tools in mt4>options>objects and you can change the magnet sensitivity. You have to play around with it a bit.

Trading today was starting to put me on tilt. The internet went a little flakey
and I was getting that nervous feeling. Up today still, even cutting it short
for an appointment.

at least you traded through it and didnt do something stupid--- could have gotten frustrated and held on to a loser, averaged down etc etc---- but you traded right through it making most of it back :D

when scalping----- and gets into a tight area--- need to step aside and wait for the first move out of the area, willing to miss it---- and then start again

i got caught there as well------ b/e . -5 , b/e

you see the little range( or sideways action /channel or whatever) need to let that resolve itself and then get on the swings after that

Thanks for the feed back.

As I look at it in hindsight I see it was bouncing from support to resistance
in a range as you said. I think my biggest flaw was entering so many times
being afraid of missing the move.

I see you took a -5, is that your SL or mental stop?

yeah, when it starts ranging and the "range" of s/r gets small you just have to step aside and concede the first move then get back on it

when scalping my stop is -10, which is a disaster stop in most cases, i pull it in based on the P/A.

if the s/r is larger than my 10 pip stop to start with i size down a little bit---- but that rarely happens---- that i enter a scalp that needs more than a 10 pips stop to start with
