Short for 4R move I was thinking it might go to 5R but I'll take my profit now thanks :D
Entry was on the break of the small red candle before the move short

Well it did go to 5R. I do suck at targets and patience.

Was an interestingly full evening with Dead Horse on EA.

I was a tad pi**** at having missed a good-looking entry just before midnight uk and was sorely tempted to jump onto a (very) late entry . If I had been watching the thing, then maybe I would have...but set-and-forget is no place to be faffing around with ifs-buts-maybes.

So I left it.

As it turned out, the original (good) entry would have hit T1, the bast*** son would have failed. Bullet grazes forehead.

From there, for the real night owls, you had a nice entry on the reverse Long, which, as is the way of these things, would have hit T1.

By the time I got back to the screens this morning - and early on is the only slot I have today - I managed to get this one at 09:30 uk. Again, hit T1.

That pays for the day.

While I was on looking last night, I did temper my disappointment at missing that entry by picking up a quick scalp. So fair enough.

Ah yes, I loved that statement and think about it often.

Everyone Gets Zeroed out in the markets.
We might as well take profits and not feel bad for doing so.

Watched this transpire live with charts marked up like below.
Breaker + Gap.

No way I could hold this back to the highs BUT I know somebody that did.

Same thing happen today BOTH ways.
I got 2-5 pippers long off lower gap.
Yes, Only way I was able to hold was because I was busy cutting brush clearing space for a 20x20 carport extension.
Too many classic cars sitting around. No room in garage or either one of the other 2 carports I've already got.

EURUSDM1
Short at a 50% retrace. I risked 2.5 pips.
Trading off the M1 and looking at the M5 also, I feel I can get away with about 2.5 pips risk.
That doesn't mean I am increasing my size. What it means is I can control my stats by having a better RRR.
If I'm risking 2.5 pips and I'm gaining 2+ pips per gain then my average win will be more than my average loss.
This works out better I can still scalp and have the math on my side. If I only have 60% accuracy I can still come out ahead.

For this type Of trading I would make my size based on 20 pips equals 1% or maybe 10 pips equals 1%. I really depends on market ranges.
There are other factors to consider with this method such as spread and leverage. It's tougher to do this with Oanda's 1.5 pips spread on the EURUSD.
Better suited to trade M5 for Oanda in my opinion.

I do sometimes think I need a twin, one who can turn off the scalper's brain.

That trade from yesterday just kept on truckin' and is sitting at the moment on 1:7 RR. (18 pip stop).

Interesting...

Also, look at all the places you could have added in.

Its just easier being what you are an do the damn thing. :D

I do find 10R to 30R on occasion with the dead horse and a 5 pips SL or less. They are harder to corral tho.
