Big swings in this OFP

Normal stakes are around $25/pt to as much as $200, but i think that the minimum
is $3/point.
I have no idea what the proper bankroll is for this game, but my guess is 2000 points.

How swingy the game is depends on which variant you play & how much better
you are than your opponent.
It is not uncommon to be down 125 points when playing a 3 player game.

What you have to remember is that luck will even out & the person who makes the
fewest & smallest errors will take the money.

"Variable-Value" Fantasy Land is probably the best variant:
QQ 14, KK 15, AA 16, & staying is 14 cards.

"Queens or better, 14 cards" is the worst way to play the game
as everyone automatically throws queens up top with impunity &
>60% of all FL hands come from queens.

There is a lot of momentum behind Pineapple OFC & now is the time to work on your game.
With a decent size bankroll you can make several thousand dollars per day...enough to buy
your girlfriend that gift

Just pulling your basic trading philosophy apart Aliassmith :) Markups help my brain "get it" (I'll leave the poker to you guys)

I think this is obvious - but I thought I would post anyway

Alias, you take the close over of the zlines on the daily or higher - as an area of interest ( green box)

The two charts are the same, I just changed the tf

But by dropping a TF you can refine the area of interest - producing a sort of....zline observation zone

btw the lower area could have had a tighter zone - still playing with that

And drop down again to see whats happening in the zone - (the markups you show) we then use whatever we have learnt to enter

But. As usual its the exit that maketh the dosh (my particular weakness)

looks like I can set an alert on the bottom (top) of an area of interest and wait to see what I see.

The reason I am not personally asking you questions on space, as I am ok with that aspect
"MOJO 1)Self-confidence, Self-assuredness. As in basis for belief in ones self in a situation. Esp/In context of contest or display of skill such as going into battle. 2)Ability to bounce back from a debilitating trauma and negative attitude YEH BABY

Your observations are a possible way to look at it.
I wouldn't say its wrong/right, better/worse. Its more
about how "you" want to take advantage of the info.

My space type example was using the daily to pick
areas of interest and then trading it with the M15
chart. Seeing how my position was on 2+ dailies the
areas seemed fine to work with.

MO said you are trading the HTF and that is
something I was looking at. It seemed viable. My
lot size was about maxed after 3 days starting
with 1.8% risk. Im sure MO would have been more
aggressive.

I am familiar with how to play the game except there
are so many ways to score it gets complicated for
a noob.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to play it to "make money"
when the markets can supply all I need.

As for bankroll the $3k/point game was $1,000,000

You have to buy-in for x number of points and you usually have to maintain
a minimum stack size to insure that you cover all losses.

At $3k/pt you should have about $6,000,000 to play with.

Gus was playing "Standard OFC", a nearly dead variant in which big hands are infrequent.

In "Standard OFC" you are initially dealt 5 cards and then receive 1 card at a time; an awesome
game when it first came out, but not so awesome after you play the "Pineapple" variant.

In "Pineapple OFC" you are initially dealt 5 cards and then receive 3 cards of which you play 2
and discard 1.

The royalties are very simple:

Cards 1-10 have a rank value of 1-10, Jacks are 11, Queens are 12, Kings are 13, Aces are 14.

Pairs up top are worth the rank value less 5 points:
66: 1 point
TT: 5 points
AA: 9 points (14 - 5 = 9)

Trips up top are worth the rank value, plus 10, less 2.
222: 10 points
777: 15 points (17 - 2 = 15)
QQQ: 20 points (22 - 2 = 20)

Back Row:
straight: 2 points
flush: 4 points
full house: 6 points
quads: 10 points
straight flush: 15 points
royal flush: 25 points

Middle Row = double the point value of the back row:
flush is worth 8 points and so on.

A straight should be worth at least 5 points in the middle but no one wants to confuse noobs.

Trips in the middle is 2 points, but most high stakes games do not score trips.

So do you only get royals if you
win that row?

1 point if you win 2/3 rows
5 points for scoop
-6 points fault

1 point for winning 2 out of 3 rows.
6 points for scooping (winning all 3)
-6 points if you foul or get scooped.

You do not have to beat your opponents hand to receive royalties.

If we both score boats in the back hand for 6 points then it is a wash even
if your boat is bigger than mine.

A 14 card Fantasy Land has an average royalty value of 7.5 points.
You also do not foul, unless you're an idiot, and have extra scoop potential.

I'm starting to feel sorry for that Horse!

Shame I aint trading - only marking up atm - as usual I find it easier to mark up these shorts. (work would have prevented me taking this anyway)

I'm looking forward to Alias's take on today :)

I had marked this up as a continuation from the other EUR space
trades. Shorted 44 lots (maxed) which was at the area marked because that got my
position up at the top where the blue x is. It went down to MO's
%target of 58.5%.So now the money is mine and start over with low risk again.
4 more times and you have +1 zero.

I'm not sure I'll trade like this in the future, but it is for sure profitable

it may be interesting - and a whole lot of extra work :) to try both methods side by side - sort of ease yourself in - kinda

would have been nice to see it go wrong at some point  :) - but you had well enough space between your position and your if/then line to make that not a problem - my interest is "would you hold onto your gained space until the next setup" or "try again higher up - but with your space more compressed"

EDIT I had not forgotten that you could, of course, have expanded your space if you needed to

Damn nice markups whatever mate
