My point was you could exit the long and go short for 10 pips. LOL

He "could" do anything at any time, but what he decides to do is follow his trading plan.

Well price wasn't closing below "something" so I went long. My instinct said to close since it wasn't doing what I expected.

So I have been following some of ICT stuff from his website. He has some fancy words and loves to talk, but I did not see anything "yet" that would persuade me to take his mentorship. He has a lot of ideas to go over and I'll keep you posted if I find anything interesting.

Guys in the chat were talking about his teaching around May-16-18th?? about turtle soups.
In his youtube vids I surmise.
The one dude in the chat used this concept to make $1700 friday.
So He was happy to have his mentorship covered in that one trade.

Do you trade solely from the mobile alias? I'm curious how your day to day trading routine goes if you don't mind sharing? I seem to be struggling with my decision making process for exiting and deciding when I'm wrong........ meh

Thanks for sharing your gainz! Keeps me going

I'm mostly mobile. I'll use my computer on occasion, but not a lot for discretionary trading.

The key to manual trading IMO is the exit. It takes a lot of practice to take profit and cut trades, which happen to both be exits.

While testing some algos I was able to see that my success has come from my ability to exit.

Yeah I agree, hopefully just through experience I'll become better at exiting along with crafty money management. Do you also use EA's? Are there more important factors for EA's if you are?

I don't use EA for discretionary trading although I have always thought for high-ish timeframes an EA can be programmed with your entry criteria and text/email you an alert to your mobile device when those conditions are met. This way you can track "x" pairs & "y" setups and only take a look when it alerts you. You can still then make entries and exits from your mobile device.

As for my day to day "routine", I don't have one. I wake up and look at the market. I do some other things then I look at the market. Then I'm in line I look at the market. When I am grillin and drinking beer with my buddy I'll look at the market. When my wife is talking to me I'll look at the market [-X . It's mobile and I trade from pure price action so it makes it easy. Analysis of your setup within the context of the market conditions, just because there is a setup doesn't mean you should take it.

It felt slow. They can't always be fast profits.

Rags to Riches

I may try something similar. I'll have to work out the specs on 50:1 leverage and $25 risk twice. I'm guessing about $200 to $300. I need some practice at HTF trading so we will see what happens.
