I have to say this closing over summit big, forming a SR area , and heads up, seems to have been my personal missing link... (one of em) - yep i did listen to the podcast :)

I throw nothing away from what I have learned thus far - which is cool . I can still use my supply demand momo and pointy places 8)

btw the close over the yellow box ( very slight ) I was prepared to allow - look at the daily to see why - I drew a line there and price closed under the line)

sadly not a properly lot sized trade as I considered this trade learning, when I should not be trading at all - just an exercise in clicking the buttons

I have certainly finished this year on a high - I really have got some s**t together thanks to you guys and the loonies at II

Happy new year - its gonna be a great one :smt033 :smt030

No Problem Captain,

I just share how I interpret things.

The charts and experience doing the right things is the real teacher.

+ growing big balls of course

What did MO say? "Practice balls have balls"

To make mind-blowing gains you have to do what other will not.

Oh BTW, "I hate you MO"

January is here and the trading season is about to start soon.

What will I be doing?

On January 5th,2015 I will be looking at small timeframes and use
1% or less risk and build some "Space" or OPM. I need about 9%
from this original risk.

I will accomplish this by using Zlines as support and resistance.
I will risk "x" and take off half at positive "x" and let the other half
run to "2x". I will also be managing the trades with position and
Line in the Sand.

When I get my 9% I'll risk 4% based on my new account size and
work that to ...hmmmm...MO likes 58.5% so my %target will be
that.

Possibilities:
If I lose 4% then I'll try again with 4%
If I lose 4% again I'll go back to 1% and build it back up
When I hit 58.5% I'll consider the new account size my money and
start back at 4% risk of the new account size.
When I hit 58.5% gain of the new account size I'll consider
the money mine again and risk 4% again.

I'll be working this process until I hit +1 zero or the 2015 season ends.

And that my friends is the culmination of my studying and experience.
Well the +1 zero and %target is new because MO has been poking me with
a stick. :D I tell MO I hate him because he is right about to much. =D>

Thanks MightyOne for putting up with our crap for so long!!!!!!

sorry to annoy you Alias - I hate to take up your time

I have a quick question on your last markup

is the yellow box marked on the attachment -

A) a Zone of PA that you look at? (I would have to put some work in if it is :D)

or

B) simply highlighting an area - particularly, that price does something around your red line that is different than what has gone before?

can quite understand if you ignore the Q

Hi Captain,
Judging by Aliassmith's charts, I think I basically trade the same way now....so I'll give it a try. Apologies in advance if I'm wrong.
The 3rd yellow box is basically the same as the 2nd one, (and technically the 1st one too) where price closes over 'something' and goes back and back over again.
I'm on my phone so can't really mark up a chart, but in the yellow box, you see the 1st black bar to cross over the red line, the next white one crosses back over then 2 after the black one crosses back over.
I don't know if my explanation helps or makes it worse, lol..... Hope it's not the latter.

yes that is correct. the first candle that closed lower
was not impressive. the one in that box was better
and it created some resistance.

Thanks forexjpn and aliassmith

Good to see you posting forexjpn - sounds like your doing well.

Yes - I call that a "price clamshell" - the phrase itself gives my brain a visual representation of what I look for.

After first seeing the basic premise behind the trades on this thread, I rekon I have an idea of what "wall to put my back to" when using all the things I have learned - a lot of other tools in the box I now see a use for - but I aint posting until I have proved em (although my limited markups are looking bloody good)
