TRO2010_DW_COUNT_UI indicator

Postby kcbnyc » Wed Feb 10, 2010 8:35 am

Patch wrote:kcbnyc

Hey could you post a chart showing the indi? I've not used it as yet.

Where in MD are you? Near the beltway? DC or Baltimore?

Thanks,

PS What does DW stand for? Down Wick?

Patch,

I live in Laurel, between Baltimore and DC (15 min south of Baltimore off I295). I think "DW" stands for "Daily Weekly"
How should I set stop loss with a 10 pip target?

When using the TRO2010_DW_COUNT_UI indicator, how many pips stop loss would I set?

Kirk:

TRO2010_DW_COUNT_UI is NOT a trade trigger indicator. You use it to find an "edge".

To me, a STOP LOSS of more than 10 pips wastes money unless you have a teeny tiny position size.

TRO,

So,
1. using the Rat Plot (let's say green) and
2. combining that with the DW_COUNT_UI and
3. trade only above the "do not trade zone"; and
4. trading when the current price is above a level that would (statistically) payout at least 10 pips...
would this be an example of trading with an edge? Or do you execute Rat Trades even in the "do not trade zone"?

Kirk

2. DW_COUNT_UI is not used for trading. It is used for statistical analysis.

4. I think you are confusing things.

1. / 3. Yes, only going long above the do not trade zone should improve your chances for profitable trades.

If I execute a rat reversal in the do not trade zone, I take my profits really quick.

Thanks - SM

Dashboard HL Trend and Multi Training Wheels

Postby ozfader » Sun Feb 21, 2010 12:58 am

Avery I've had my snout in your indicator trough for way too long and I'm ready to donate to the cause.

I want to make sure that the HL Trend is included in the package though, along with the multi-pair Training Wheels as shown in the attached image.

Can you confirm please?

Those are 2009 Donational indicators. If you want them make sure you specify 2009 when you donate.

Thanks.

TRO, can you help me figure out what the bottom indi is in this chart? Thank you sir.

EDIT: The chart didn't post when I quoted the previous post. I'm referring to the chart directly above. Thank you,
