the asterisk * is probably from the pair of the current chart you are on, and also having info on other pairs. so a little visual help to match chart you are reading and the columns of info of many pairs.

Yes, the "*" identifies the currency pair on the chart.

TRO2009_PLOT is the donational version.

There isn't that much difference. If fact, I need to update the donational version to include the line labels!!
