PROGRESS UPDATE :

Ok, well today was a good date.

I have got my Neoticker - MB link working fine.

I have also downloaded a weeks worth of historical tick data from IQFEED for testing to ensure the strategy is performing as expected.

As this stage I am just using USD/CAD to prove the theory. Today was a little slow going and I have a little bit more testing/bug fixing to go.

Other than that I am all on track to go live in the next day or so.

Thanks for that TMA,

I am a green Rat.

I will concentrate on the USD/CAD autotrader at the moment and will add additional pairs once i am satisfied all is going correctly.

Thanks again.

PROGRESS UPDATE :

As discussed earlier, I am managing my exits via a playbook (as discussed in a TRO radio interview).

My exits are derived from TRO's suggested playbook in the DRT thread.

I have just finished coding my exit playbook and the rules are as follows :

MY PLAYS :

1) + 3 pips - move stop to break even

2) AT +5 pips, I will be ready to bail at +3 if price pulls back.

3) At +10 pips, I will enter a trailing stop of 4 or 5 pips.
4) At +15, I will cancel the trailing stop and enter a hard stop at +10.

5) at +20 I will Enter a hard stop at 15;

6) At +25, I will invoke a 5 point trailing stop til completion

Right, time for another break and time to breaka sweat at the gym!!

http://www.tickquest.com/

They are a trading platform similar to Ninjatrader, Metatrader, MultiCharts, etc. The foundation of the program is C#.
Eudaimonia (pron.: you-die-moan-e-a) (Greek: εὐδαιμονία) is a classical Greek word commonly translated as 'happiness'. The less subjective "human flourishing" is often preferred as a translation.

PROGRESS UPDATE :

To any one is interested.... :)

Another busy day with a shift at the Fire Station e.t.c so progress a little slow.

I have developed a "Completed Trade" template that will output for every trade the autotrader takes.

I have tried to relate it back directly to the rules that TRO has stated and provide as much information as possible so that people can look the trades up on their own charts should they desire.

Template to follow on next message.

Have a good day,

Aj.

Nice template above.

Had you thought about how to keep your system from taking too many trades?

Hi Pebble,

No I had not thought about how to stop it taking too many trades.

At this stage I had simply intended on taking every trade available based on TRO's rules. In those rules he never mentions picking and choosing which trades to take, implying you take them all.

What are your thoughts? Is there a need to restrit the number of trades?
