You can do all this and a lot more with NinjaTrader. It works v well with MBT.

Metatrader, as we all know (or bloody well should know by now), is a scam, so I'd keep well clear of it....

bredin, whilst I totally agree with the points you make, there is absolutely nothing wrong with basing future behaviour on old data if that old data has predictive value. There are plenty of examples in science and gambling where this can be shown to be true. Predictive value is more important that ...

I've worked with numerous GA software systems, Excel add-ons etc and I think all of them are simplistic in what relationships they look for. Not one of them sees complex underlying structures or relationships. I do believe the concept of GA is sound but the software that is supposed to do the analys...

If you can not control the outcome of the event and the outcome results in your favor, then you are lucky. Complete and utter crap. There are so many areas of science that makes nonsense of this statement that its really not worth starting a list. You may be a good coder but you do talk some real c...

However, what brought me to this point was a search for an MT4-based version of the Barometers at 4xlounge. I'...

Yes, repainting is an issue however, 'laggy' is a term which needs definition in the sense that anything which is based on historic data could be considered 'laggy' simply because its based on info from the past. That doesn't mean it can't have predictive value.

Thanks but I cant get it to appear in my custom indicator list. I'm not that keen on it anyway but thanks for the thought.
Take another look at the Cluster indicators however as there does seem to be mileage in them and the concept is sound.

Looking back in time, the cc lines are not as good an indicator of future movement compared to those at 4xlounge but I'll see how they do walking forward....

If anyone has anything which is a closer approximation to the Barometers they have at 4xlounge but in MT4, I'd appreciate it
