Indeed, the question raises: when it's advantageous to use heap/pheap/whateverheap in Neo over the standard way of working with data in C#? This method cannot replace gheap as gheap persists across all charts. It does not mimic standard heap so this method is really only a replacement for pheap. Ho...

Luke, I also prefer to solve programming tasks in Neo by using standard tools and concepts whenever it is possible than relying on Neo's built-in IDL tools. Sometimes it's not only a matter of convenience, but of a strictly predictable behavior. Michal And the biggest advantage of this method it th...

class level variables as an alternative to pheap

One thing I've found difficult with NeoTicker is getting used to their variable persistence between bars. They currently use something called heap. Each heap item must be accessed from an array by an index. I suppose it isn't that difficult to use but I don't like how all the heap references look in...

Han, I'm a relatively new trader. I can't say I will be doing this for ever. I'm trading my own account; I don't have a hedge fund to keep me going. If I am unable to find a consistently profitable system then I will not continue. Based on statistics, the odds are 9-1 against me. What I can say is t...

The differences are rather small. What you have spent so much time learning is the object model of NeoTicker. If you weren't a programmer before you might have also had to spend some time learning how to make object declarations, using if-then statements and comparison operators. If I were you, I wo...

The USB driver TickQuest includes in the installation CD appears to be an old version. I downloaded the latest driver version from http://www.aladdin.com/support/hasp/enduser.asp and it works fine. Not sure if this is helpful to you but just wanted to point it out.

Michal: Any suggestions where we can get an article about C# for a dummy? I have the Delphi stuff but it seems that C# is going to be more popular. Do I just go buy a text book? thanks Jim If you are unfamiliar with both c# and Delphi, I suggest you spend your time learning Delphi. Most of the prog...
