Re: PowerX Strategy "PowerZ"
We draw horizontal lines, but S/R is more like an area of horizontals with gaps between them: this is important because, if you think of S/R as just one price, the oscillations around that price are likely to confuse you: When you're trading "away" from support or resistance, sometimes you...

My latest "for the lols" purchase: 2 for $341.84, before paying extra for fast shipping: "The coin’s obverse features a detailed portrait of the Roman emperor Caesar. The round takes after the design of the Roman denarius as inspiration. Caesar’s spine and skull are openly visible an...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal
The main area of support is the 'pattern': you'll often see me posting pictures of arrows moving away from it in opposite directions, because that is usually how it takes shape; a pattern is not a breakout, and a breakout is not a pattern. Sure, there are patterns and breakouts everywhere, but this ...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal
Thanks Igazi - I always spend ages looking at the charts you mark up. I have many questions (some of which I've meaning to ask for a while but didn't want to pester you, lol) Am I understanding your example correctly? ⋅ We see 'support 1' form: it zeroes that pinbar and retraces upward, c...

Re: PowerX Strategy "PowerZ"
Are you throwing those out there or do u recommend them? I have traded hogs and cattle in the past but, I haven't looked at them recently. I recommend metals, energy, and agriculture: as our world comes to an end, it is important to shift your money away from digital products and into tangible asse...

Re: PowerX Strategy "PowerZ"
I keep Thinking Corn in my brain but, this is a Wheat chart. What timeframe you might ask? It's the H4! I do like this Wheat, Corn, etc. idea IgazI presented. If you are holding for a few days, you can clean up. I am currently studying the idea of using 2 micro contracts. On Wheat that is $100 per ...

Hmmmmm, Dave uses No gap candles. I don't like the looks.
I don't give that young man enough credit
S/R always forms around the closing prices:
you only need the bounds of the candle body to represent the open or the close, not both.

Re: ProchargedMopar's Trading Trilogy
You lost me. In ur thread? The way that candlestick charts are constructed is broken, that's all I'm saying: there is no reason why there should be a gap in price without a market halt. Of course there can be gaps. If price moves 1 tick as the next candle starts to form you get at least a 1 tick ga...

5 sec chart, over and over and over. I'm not watching it except to verify after the fact. M1 shows all. LOL ###misc1.jpg###misc2.jpg###misc3.jpg###misc4.jpg###misc5.jpg My ideal candle is constructed: open equals <== close high low close equals ==> open This setup would make the M1- charts easier t...

Re: bakedbeans' learning journal
You did a PROCHARGEDMOPAR No punches pulled  Adding to losers is pure poison, just don't do it. Agreed - but to be clear I wasn't adding to my losers - I was entering, getting stopped out, then entering again at a higher price (eventually with more size.. sigh). I checked my fills to make sure...
