So, if we define Momentum a close over the previous extreme, then do we want to see price closing over the origin of the extreme's BO (to see a Mo breaking Mo)?
[OR i'm just going crazy lol]
Thank you Doji

Re: A fresh start! Doji's Trading Journal
It takes a force(momentum)speed and movement to breakout of the previous extreme. We only care about the ones that close above the previous extreme. Otherwise its an illusion. Does this definition fit everything being said? There is a difference between bullish and bearish momentum If its not momen...

Re: A fresh start! Doji's Trading Journal
Mira, Look at the above chart. The black lines. Can they be defined? Are they the same? d Doji, I can't see anything.. The upper line looks like is starting from the close/upper wick of the bullish momentum, the lower line at the origin of bearish momentum/increasing speed.. But I'm not sure of wha...

Re: How to be a MOnster
No need to feel stupid, we have all been where you are. The importance of defining it is to be able to spot it the same way all the time. Not saying it will work, but if its defined the same way all the time and it doesnt work 50 percent plus of the time, well then you know somethings wrong. Result...

Re: How to be a MOnster
Gotta ask again, Whats your definition of Momentum. It appears in this pic that its a colorchange of two candles? Do you draw them that way live? doji Hi Doji! I don't know if it's a definition but I'm looking for fast moves, large candles closing over the breakout point. Then I look for an opposit...

Re: A fresh start! Doji's Trading Journal
Hi Doji! Thank you for be back, I'm loving your thread and your words! Your gold nuggets about momentum are changing my view, things are getting clear (even if doing this live isn't always so easy for me). I'd have one question: considering momentum closing over (origin of) momentum, would you think...

Re: How to be a MOnster
Last time, when Doji gave us some teachings about momentum, i took his words as a confirmation of what I was seeing.. but I was missing a point: WHY he commented my chart talking about fractals? I was seeing new momentum letting old momentum at its back, but every time I needed an "at the momen...
