(Not directed to Doji, but in general) Set-ups don't matter - as much as you think. Price does not have to obey any preconceived rule or expectation. A set-up implies -speculation-/confidence of a direction the trade will go. Don't speculate (guess). Assume that you can NEVER KNOW, it is better for ...

Hi Doji, Good to hear from you. I am not suggesting it is absolutely mandatory to have 100K, but instead emphasizing the importance of adequate account capitalization and how risk tolerance in real-trading will decrease with size of the account. $200 to $10,000 is fantastic, but I am sure the way yo...

In my experience, the following criteria should be met: Trade sizes should be selected such that if: 1. You can sleep at night, let trades run overnight, without a stop-loss even if they are against you. This trade-size will usually be a lot smaller than people expect, when given this condition. Man...

A year has gone by - some things to ponder. :)

Hello everybody, It has been just over a year since I last posted here. I have been busy trading and recently made a move to another country. I have been profitable since, although there is room for some improvement. Over this last year of thinking, experimenting and trading, there are a few things ...

nimo,

Calm down, if you met me in real life, you would be amazed at surprisingly how humble and friendly I am.

nimo, Suit yourself. To me - there's more elegance in achieving an impressive ROI with the most minimal lot sizes and least leverage. To me - that demonstrates a healthier strategy. Tygerkrane, Yes, when I read one of the posts on this thread I was also wondering how it was possible to trade 0.5 lot...

AliasSmith, You derived all that from "tsk tsk Manual Trading" ? I'm only teasing relax. I don't think its' stupid, virtually all strategies start their life manually. Ultimately, all strategies should be finalized by automation for plenty of good reasons. People hell bent on manual tradin...

AliasSmith,

How was I being rude?

MightyOne,

Interesting and good idea. However, that's not what I'm doing.

I should have been more clear, 0.01 lots PER trade (on $100,000) and I always have more than one trade in the market.

tsk tsk. Manual trading. The risk sizes mentioned throughout this thread are ridiculously high. 0.5 lots on a $500 account? UHH?? Or 0.1 on $500? Get your greed and impatience under control!! Horrible risk management. I risk around 0.01 lots on a $100,000 account and I've taken a $10,000 (at 0.001 l...

Sorry for the delay folks, I'm currently trying to develop a plan of action of how to make these tutorials/videos as I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed by the task from a 'production' point of view!! So I'm trying to get myself organized and allocate time, but most importantly conceptualize a structu...
