Agreed - and that is why the BZ is so powerfull!
Once the price has passed the BZ, and you have exited your position, do you use any other lines to trade with?

Question for Avery about FX
Hi Avery, Thanks for all the great work you do on this site - I've learnt loads from you - esp. about the BuyZone, which I am using. I trade FX mainly. Other than BuyZone, do you use any other methods for trading the FX? I remember you mentioning somewhere that trading AAPL for the first part of the...

What is TS data quality for FX like?
Hello - I really need a decent 3-4 year backfill for major FX pairs, 1 min timeframe. I have found free sources of 1 min data from Alpari, etc... but the quality of these has been terrible - it doesn't match my Interactive Brokers data at all, and has lots of gaps between bars. Tradestation appear t...

NT speed for 3 years of 1min data
Does anyone know how NT performs backtesting 3 years of 1min data?
My current software Amibroker grinds to a halt - that's about 500,000 bars.

I'm thinking of swapping to NT
Hi, I currently use Amibroker, but have found a serious problem - there is a maximum of 500,000 bars allowed per symbol. This means for serious backtesting (5 sec bars), I cannot go back very far. So....after all the talk on this forum I am thinking of swapping to NT. I have a few questions: 1. Is b...

I am backtesting on 1min data. I don't wait for the bars to close - my entry is exactly in the BuyZone. I totally do see how the BZ makes money, and understand it's simplicity. That is not the issue. My issue is this - I enter three orders on entry - the entry order (on-stop buy at BZ level), the st...

Optimisation of a system issue
I am currently backtesting the BuyZone trading system over 1 year of data, and sorting the results by Gross Profit Made. It is indeed profitable - I am using stop orders to exit and enter. What I am finding is that by sorting the results by Gross Profit Made, the system has long periods of small los...

About TREND INDICATOR - NEVER LOSE AGAIN
Hi, I noticed this on the front-page of Kreslik - but I don't have a TS login and have been unable to read about this indicator, and how it is used. Could anyone provide a summary please? I have ported several of TROs indicators over to Amibroker, and would like to do the same with this. (Incidental...

EFX Group - which datasource is best?
I'm signing up to EFX Group and will need a good datasource for use in my charting software (I use Amibroker). There are various options, but I will need: 1. 1min data on major FX pairs 2. The ability to download 1min data - as much as 1 year back, for testing 3. A datasource that correlates as clos...
